A wee change… Fan Art Up became Art it Up. This is a weekly meme hosted by Tabitha over at Not Yet Read. The idea being to see if you can come up with some inspiration for a little sketch or doodle from your last week’s reading or just anything else in general. So, this week my reading has consisted of White Fang by Jack London and I’m currently reading The City Stained Red. Unfortunately, I’ve already tried wolves on here and I’ve not really come up with anything so far for CSR. So, being the Bonfire Season – by which I mean we have fireworks for two weeks before the 5th November and two weeks after (instead of one day! – not that I’m grumpy at all!!!) I’ve drawn a Dude Doodle and this week over at the Fantasy Review Barn the topic for Tough Travel is novices – so, I was thinking Harry Potter. One thing led to another and I didn’t sketch Harry Potter at all. Oh well! Now go and check out Tabitha – who has the cool sketches and all the ‘things’. Yep!

Fan Art Up is a weekly meme hosted by Tabitha over at Not Yet Read. The idea being to see if you can come up with some inspiration for a little sketch or doodle from your last week’s reading or just anything else in general. So, this week I’ve been reading about all the creepiness! Mainly focusing on vampires. However, I couldn’t come up with a drawing of a vampire in my tiny brain. Instead I thought I’d try a character from Generation V by M L Brennan – a shapeshifter called Suzume. I loved this book and I thought Suzume was an amazing character. The one on the left was my first attempt to try and draw a foxy/sassy character – and also I tried to jot down a fox. The pencil was my second attempt which I attempted because the others were on lined paper! My husband didn’t really like the second attempt! I guess the first one looks a bit more cartoony – but what is the hair about. The problem is with pen – once you’ve created an outline you’re pretty much stuck with it! On reflection I don’t think this is how I pictured Suzume – but, at least there’s a scruffy looking little fox!

Fan Art Up is a weekly meme hosted by Tabitha over at Not Yet Read. The idea being to see if you can come up with some inspiration for a little sketch or doodle from your last week’s reading or just anything else in general. This week I’m reading various ‘halloweeny’ books. I’ve finished The Reviver and am now reading The Fall. Lacking ideas from my reading I attempted a ‘she elf’ roughly taken from Tauriel – but managing to look nothing like her – unless you stand really far away and squint! I’ve also drawn a seasonal Dude Doodle. Either I’ve made him very small or I’ve made the pumpkin very large. Well – you get the idea….he would not be happy if I ever dressed him up – hence the expression!
Badly drawn dragons to badly behaved dogs!

Fan Art Up is a weekly meme hosted by Tabitha over at Not Yet Read. The idea being to see if you can come up with some inspiration for a little sketch or doodle from your last week’s reading or just anything else in general. This week I’m reading The Tropic of Serpents by Marie Brennan. I’ve also read the Undying by Ethan Reid. I seem to be having a lot of dragon books at the moment which is set to continue as I’m about to start Dreamwalker! I’ve tried a dragon – you have to imagine this is flying at you – hence the bad perspective (believe me when I say this looked so much better in my head!) The other is my dog – the weather is filthy and so is he! My drawing ability seems to be getting worse! Stop on over at Not Yet Read and check out all the loveliness.
Mixed bag…
Fan Art Up is a weekly meme hosted by Tabitha over at Not Yet Read. The idea being to see if you can come up with some inspiration for a little sketch or doodle from your last week’s reading or just anything else in general. This week I’ve just finished Spark by John Twelve Hawks (review due) and Broken Road by Teresa Frohock. I’m also reading a fairytale retelling and also just started a book called Puppet by Pauline C Harris. I’ll leave you to decide what sketch fits which book!
