Countdown to 2025: Day 14: Christmas Pudding

Once again I am counting down to the New Year, as with the previous two years I shall be highlighting at least one book per day to fit the prompt on that given day.  The main aim for this countdown is to highlight some of my reads during the past year and to shine the spotlight on them once again (although some of the prompts relate to forthcoming reads). Today is day 14 of the countdown to 2025 and a list of prompts can be found here if you wish to join me in counting down to 2025 and casting a spotlight on some of your favourite books (if you join in please leave me a link so I can check out your book choices).

Today’s Prompt : Christmas pudding – if you could squeeze in just one more book for 2020

17 Days Remaining

I have read such great reviews for The Scholar and the Last Faerie Door by HG Parry so I really hope I can fit it in.

Tomorrow’s prompt: Mince pies –  a little sweet something

Top Ten Tuesday : Books I Meant to Read in 2023 but Didn’t Get To

TTT

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme where every Tuesday we look at a particular topic for discussion and use various (or more to the point ten) bookish examples to demonstrate that particular topic.  Top Ten Tuesday (created and hosted by  The Broke and Bookish) is now being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and future week’s topics can be found here.   This week’s topic:

Books I Meant to Read in 2023 but Didn’t Get To

Well the first half of last year was fairly dreadful for me and so I had a number of books for review that I didn’t pick up.  Thankfully my reading is now back on track but I do have a number of books that I would like to try and catch up with.  Here is a selection:

The Secrets of Hartwood Hall by Katie Lumsden

BL

The Bone Shard War by Andrea Stewart

Have you read any of these – do you have a favourite that I should start first?
