Today I’m posting my Weekly Wrap Up and II’m linking up to The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s Caffeinated Reviewer. Without further ado:
Books read this week:
You may have noticed the tumbleweed rolling around on my blog over the past week or so. I’m not having a moment over here, or feeling jaded with my blog or books. Put simply, a combination of travelling, illness and slight injury and other irritants (a dodgy keyboard being the least of my problems) have left little time for reading or anything else. Anyway, I’ve read Middle of the Night by Riley Sager and started The Moonlight Market by Joanne Harris and I’ve made progress on my second batch of SPFBO books reading 25% of the first two.

Next Week’s Reads:
Next week. I’d like to complete the Midnight Market and maybe pick up Love Letters to A Serial Killer by Tasha Cornell. I’d also like to read The Undermining of Twyla and Frank but when I requested this one I hadn’t realised it was the second in series. Does anyone else know this series? Do I need to read the first book before picking up this one?
Reviews Posted:- When She Was Good by Michael Robotham
- Lying Beside You by Michael Robotham
- The September House by Carissa Orlando
- Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
- Storm Child by Michael Robotham
- In the Middle of the Night by Riley Sager

I’m trying to get back into the habit of doing a round-up of the week just completed and also take a look at my plans for the forthcoming week. I rather got out of the habit of doing so but I would like to reinstate this type of post as I feel it keeps me on track. So, I’m linking up to The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s Caffeinated Reviewer. Without further ado:
Books read this week:
I’ve been away for a few days for my birthday. We had a great time but it has put me behind a little with reading and blogging so I’m back to playing catch up. I’ve carried on listening to Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff (about 7 hours left). I’ve read the Mystery Guest by Nita Prose and also made a start (about 50% in) with one of my SPFBO Semi Finalists.

Books read this week:
Well, lots of developments this week. I’ve been really busy. On top of that my phone has been broken which I will confess demonstrates quite powerfully just how easy it is for these little gadgets to insinuate themselves so easily into our lives. It’s a flipping nightmare. And, in other news, just in case things were becoming too simple we decided (rather suddenly and abruptly) to trial another rescue dog. Put bluntly, our hearts overruled our heads and so here we now are! Just over a year and a half ago we adopted a dog called Bones, a Podengo Grande, an absolutely beautiful dog with a heart of gold. He is very much a part of our family and so when we came across a slightly smaller female version (almost identical to him in everything but looks as though she’s been put in a machine to shrink her down – ‘honey, I shrunk the dog’ – well, yes, e couldn’t resist. So here we are. Just three days in, trying to give her a calm environment and give her time to let her anxiety begin to lessen. I can’t deny it’s hard work, and also messes up the routine. But it is rewarding. Between one thing and another there has been little time for anything this week. But I have completed my beta read and also moved forward with my current SPFBO read, I’ve also written a couple of reviews – slowly but surely I’m catching up.
Next Week’s Reads:
- The Book That Wouldn’t Burn by Mark Lawrence
- The Twenty by Sam Holland
- My Murder by Kate Williams
- The People Watcher by Sam Lloyd
- Soul Taken by Patricia Brigg
- Claws and Contrivances by Stephanie Burgis
- All The Dangerous Things by Stacy Willingham

Books read this week:
I finished Atalanta by Jennifer Saint and I’ve continued to read my April reads. I managed to complete The Other Lives of Miss Emily White by A J Elwood and I’ve read about the first third of The Bone Shard War by Andrea Stewart.
Next Week’s Reads:
Hopefully complete The Bone Shard War – that might be the only book I fit in next week though as it seems to be quite chunky and it’s not really the sort of read that you can race through.

If I finish this one quicker than I expect I’ll move on to my May review books.

- The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi by Shannon Chakraborty
- Games for Dead Girls by Jen Williams
- Small Miracles by Olivia Atwater
- The Tyranny of Faith by Richard Swan
