Booking Ahead Weekly Wrap Up
I’m trying to get back into the habit of doing a round-up of the week just completed and also take a look at my plans for the forthcoming week. I rather got out of the habit of doing so but I would like to reinstate this type of post as I feel it keeps me on track. So, I’m linking up to The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s Caffeinated Reviewer. Without further ado:
Books read this week:
I finished Atalanta by Jennifer Saint and I’ve continued to read my April reads. I managed to complete The Other Lives of Miss Emily White by A J Elwood and I’ve read about the first third of The Bone Shard War by Andrea Stewart.
Next Week’s Reads:
Hopefully complete The Bone Shard War – that might be the only book I fit in next week though as it seems to be quite chunky and it’s not really the sort of read that you can race through.
If I finish this one quicker than I expect I’ll move on to my May review books.
Reviews Posted:
- The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi by Shannon Chakraborty
- Games for Dead Girls by Jen Williams
- Small Miracles by Olivia Atwater
- The Tyranny of Faith by Richard Swan
- Atalanta by Jennifer Saint
- The Other Lives of Miss Emily White by A J Elwood
I just started an almost 600 page book so it may take all week to read it. Seems like there are a lot of chunky May books!
Yes, there are!
Lynn 😀
I’m going to have to check out Small Miracles. I always try to pick up at least one of the SPFBO finalists and there are several that look appealing to me this year!
It’s such a good book – I definitely recommend it highly.
Lynn 😀
Looking forward to your thoughts on The Other Lives of Miss Emily White as it’s one that caught my eye too.
It’s an unusual book. My thoughts are muddled, but definitely gothic and eerie.
Lynn 😀
Yes, The Bone Shard War is a chonk, may need to get a few more shorter books out of the way before I get a chance to tackle that one. Glad to hear you are enjoying it though!
Yes, I might have to read another book alongside it tbh.
