I’m trying to get back into the habit of doing a round-up of the week just completed and also take a look at my plans for the forthcoming week.  I rather got out of the habit of doing so but I would like to reinstate this type of post as I feel it keeps me on track.  So, I’m linking up to The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s  Caffeinated Reviewer.  Without further ado:

Books read this week:

You may have noticed that I missed a weekly update.  I’ve been away staying with family and trying to help with various things.  At the same time, unfortunately, I’ve caught something nasty and been laid up in bed most of the past 8/9 days.  I’m still not over it yet but I feel like I’ve turned a corner.  Since my last update I finished reading The Cloisters by Katy Hays.  I also read my second SPFBO finalist and read Sarah Gailey’s Just Like Home.  I’ve now made a start on Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries which I’m loving.

Next Week’s Reads:

Hopefully continue to recover, finish my current read and then make a start on some backlist books maybe or read another couple of January books.   How to Sell a Haunted House by Grady Hendrix.  I also started and need to complete All of Our Demise by Christine Lynn Herman; Amanda Foody and I also started Ithaca by Claire North.

Books read this week:

This week seems to have flown and I seem to have spent most of the week getting mixed up about what day I’m up to – everything slow down!  Aarrgghghghgh.  Anyway,  in terms of reading I managed to compete both Silvia Moreno Garcia’s Signal to Noise and The Witch and the Tsar by Olesya Salnikova Gilmore.  Both reviews to follow shortly (hopefully).  I also started my Countdown to 2023 and I’m aiming to post a book per day for that.  In other news I mentioned on my last Friday Face Off that I will be changing the format in the new year.  I also started reading The Cloisters by Katy Hays and I expect to finish that by tonight all going well so I’ll add that on here too.

Next Week’s Reads:

Well, I may start my second SPFBO finalist.  On the review list I have a few upcoming January books that I’m thinking of starting and also a couple of backlist titles that I’d like to catch up so there are quite a number of possibilities.   How to Sell a Haunted House by Grady Hendrix or Emily Wilde’s Encyclopedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett are both on my January list.  I also started and need to complete All of Our Demise by Christine Lynn Herman; Amanda Foody and I also started Ithaca by Claire North.
