I’m trying to get back into the habit of doing a round-up of the week just completed and also take a look at my plans for the forthcoming week. I rather got out of the habit of doing so but I would like to reinstate this type of post as I feel it keeps me on track. So, I’m linking up to The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s Caffeinated Reviewer. Without further ado:
Books read this week:
This week we went away for a few days so I’ve been rather quite in terms of blog hopping. We visited the beautiful city of Granada in Spain and had a fantastic time. I did read one of my books, The Ghost Woods by CJ Cooke. I also started The Hollows by Daniel Church. I posted two SPFBO reviews – watch this space tomorrow for our finalist announcement. Sorry if this feels a little rushed but we’re on our way out the door so just a short and sweet post today.

Next Week’s Reads:
Reviews Posted since my last Sunday Post:
- Ever Alice by HJ Ramsay
- The World Breaker Requiem by Luke Tarzian
Outstanding Reviews
- A Gamble of Gods by Mitriel Faywood
- Love Will Tear Us Apart by CK McDonnell

Books read this week:
Again, this week I’ve not been quite as productive in terms of reading. I expect to finish the second of the Critiquing Chemist’s SPFBO Semi Finalists later today which means my Phase 1 reading will be complete. Now we simply need to reach a decision about our Finalist! I finished CK McDonnell’s – Love Will Tear Us Apart and and can safely say it’s my favourite so far. So, I have a few reviews to catch up with and some more reading. I’ve also been listening to Stephen Chbosky’s Imaginary Friend. I’m nearly complete.
Next Week’s Reads:
I still have a few to choose from : One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig, The Ghost Woods by CJ Cooke, The Hollows by Daniel Church
Reviews Posted since my last Sunday Post:
- Cackle by Rachel Harrison
- Spells for Forgetting by Adrienne Young
- Unraveller by Frances Hardinge

This week I’ve not been quite as productive in terms of reading. I’ve completed one of the Critiquing Chemist’s SPFBO Semi Finalists which means I have just one more book to read for Phase 1 of the competition. I’ve also made a good start on the latest CK McDonnell – Love Will Tear Us Apart and it’s quite possible that I’ll complete that later this evening. I’m absolutely loving this series and couldn’t wait to tuck in. I’ve made good progress on blog hopping and getting up to date with posting and even pulled together a book tag this weekend.

Next Week’s Reads:
I still have a few to choose from : One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig, The Ghost Woods by CJ Cooke, The Hollows by Daniel Church and I’m also going to be picking up my last SPFBO Semi Finalist. Although, of course, I’m not expecting to complete all these.

Books read this week:
Wow, is this another late post. Why, yes, yes it is. What is wrong with me! Anyway I’ll make this short and sweet. As per my plans last week I have started The First Binding, it’s a night time read and I think it’s a long book so this could take a while but so far so good. I’ve also started to listen to Babel by RF Kuang and again, I think this will be a long read and, although I’m less than 10% in I would say that this is an ode to words. I’ve also started All of Our Demise by Christine Herman and Amanda Foody. Quite unplanned I also read and had a lot of fun with Liar of Red Valley by Walter Goodwater.
Next Week’s Reads:
Well, I need to complete The First Binding by RR Virdi,All of Our Demise by Christine Herman and Amanda Foody and Babel by RF Kuang, but I recognise that these might be slightly longer books so at the same time I might try and pick up Ithaca by Claire North or Signal to Noise by Silvia Morena Garcia.

Books read this week:
Hope everyone is well. I realise this post is late of course but we had a busy weekend with my sister-in-law coming to stay and no blogging. Last week I managed to post my review for Old Country which was a very creepy read. This week I managed to complete The Retreat by Sarah Pearse and I also read Small Angels by Lauren Owen which was a gothic tale of a haunted forest.
Next Week’s Reads:
I’m lining up The First Binding by RR Virdi and All of Our Demise by Christine Herman and Amanda Foody. I’ve also managed to pick up an audio copy of Babel by RF Kuang so will be listening to that one too.
