Books read this week:
This week my reading has been great. I mean, to be clear, I’ve not read massive amounts but I’m enjoying the books I’m reading. I have been busy for other reasons and so that has slowed me down – but it’s an improvement that I’m loving the books. So, I’m still listening to Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry. I like this , I do have the occasional eye role – but, it is entertaining. To be fair, I haven’t had as much time for listening this week so I’ve not made great headway – probably still about 9 hours of listening remaining. I finished The Bodies by Sam Lloyd which I enjoyed, although it was one of those books that was chaotic, everything kept escalating to the point I almost wanted the author to give me a break. I’m also reading Swordheart by T Kingfisher – which I’m frankly adoring. Literally, the main problem for me at the moment is lack of time.
Next Week’s Reads:
Aiming to complete Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry and Swordheart by T Kingfisher. Then I might be looking at either – A Far Better thing by H G Parry or Paved With Good Intentions by Peter McLean – two books that I am really looking forward to so that’ll be a difficult choice. Maybe I’ll just start both.

Books read this week:
To be honest my reading is still a bit dodgy atm, I can’t seem to settle down fully with certain books. I’ve had to set The Listeners by Maggie Stiefvater to one side because I just couldn’t get into it. I then picked up Riley Sager’s latest book, With A Vengeance, that I was very excited about, but also I was struggling a little with this one. So, I was feeling a bit worried about going into a reading slump. I did complete The Countdown Killer by Sam Holland which was really good. Then, fortunately my next book, The Rush by Beth Lewis was really good, quite honestly one of my favourites so far this year. I’ve started listening to Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry and I’m also a third into The Bodies by Sam Lloyd both are good so far.
Next Week’s Reads:
Aiming to complete Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry and The Bodies by Sam Lloyd. I’m then hoping to pick up Swordheart by T Kingfisher.

Books read this week:
This week I’ve had a good time. I actually had my last language class and so that will definitely free up some free time for reading and blogging. I also completed Vianne by Joanne Harris. I read The Vengeance by Emma Newman and I also started The Malevolent Eight by Sebastien de Castell. I must say that my reading has been a bit hit and miss recently – I think it’s a mood thing – so I do have a few books that I’ve put down because they simply weren’t fitting my mood and I do intend to return to them.
Next Week’s Reads:
I will definitely be picking up We Live Here Now by Sarah Pinborough. Also, The Listeners by Maggie Stiefvater and I’d like to finish my current audio book which is Victorian Psycho by Virginia Feito (which I’m really enjoying).

Books read this week:
I finished The Devils by Joe Abercrombie which I’ve already reviewed here. I also completed The Man Made of Smoke by Alex North – this was a very gripping read. And I’ve now picked up and hope to complete very soon Vianne by Joanne Harris. The writing is exquisite and the story is literally delicious, although it makes me very hungry reading this.
Next Week’s Reads:
Complete Vianne by Joanne Harris and then my next reads are Vengeance by Emma and The Malevolent Eight by Sebastien de Castell.
