Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. I don’t regularly take part in this because I usually remember by about last thing Thursday! (And it’s not Top Ten Thursday after all now is it!) Anyway, I particularly love this topic. I can quickly go back through my list of books and pounce hungrily upon ten that I would love to see converted onto the big screen or into a series. Check out the original blog post and past topics here. And, don’t forget to let me know what you’d choose!
- Wool by Hugh Howey – film
- The Ocean at the end of the Lane by Neil Gaiman – film (please and pretty please, with a cherry on top, will somebody make this. Thank you! – oh, and if it’s not too much to ask make a good job of it!)
- The Anvil of the World by Kage Baker – which was such good fun that I’d love to see it on screen.
- Ready Player One by Ernest Cline – this could be a fantastic movie.
- Prince of Thorns, King of Thorns and Emperor of Thorns by Mark Lawrence – I’m envisioning three amazing movies right there!
- Zoo City by Lauren Beukes – would make a great original movie.
- Poison by Sarah Pinborough (I think/hope there are going to be a few of these stories so maybe a series).
- All the Harry Dresden books by Jim Butcher – made into a series rather than a film. Yes please.
- Agatha H and the Airship City by Phil and Kaja Foglio – a series again.
- The Druid Chronicles by Kevin Hearne – such a lot of good fun not to mention Oberon – a series would be very entertaining.
