Books read this week:

Another very busy week with little time for reading or blogging.  I’m definitely not progressing as well as I’d like to be doing this month.  But, we’ve been away for a few days so reading has taken something of a backseat.  We’ve spent a few days in the fantastic city of Porto in Portugal.  I can’t recommend it enough.  It’s such a welcoming place, absolutely gorgeous, lovely people and delicious food and drink.  I have read another of my SPFBO books so have one left now to complete.

Next Week’s Reads:

I’d like to read my final SPFBO book and possibly The Coven by Harper L Woods.

None this week.

I’m so busy at the moment that I’m behind already with reading and blogging.  But, I’ve managed to read three books and I’ve  squeezed in a couple of book reviews.  I completed The Wilding by Ian McDonald, The Bog Wife by Kay Chronister and I’ve also read one of the SPFBO books passed to me by the Critiquing Chemist.

Next Week’s Reads:

I’d like to read another of my SPFBO books and possibly The Coven by Harper L Woods.

  1. Lucy Undying by Kiersten White
  2. The Glassmaker by Tracy Chevalier

Books read this week:

So, I missed last week’s  update, things just becoming chaotic, so this week I’ll be recapping two weeks instead of one.  To be honest my reading has been pretty dreadful for some reason, I’ve not been getting really absorbed and keep putting books to one side.  Hopefully this improves.  For example, I put The Haunting of Moscow House by Olesya Salnikova Gilmore to one side for now.  I have read Gorse by Sam K Horton which I loved and already reviewed.  I also completed The Ravening by Daniel Church – this one didn’t work for me unfortunately.  I also just completed The Glassmaker by Tracy Chevalier which was very well executed and I’ll be reviewing soon..

Next Week’s Reads:

I’ve started reading The Wilding by Ian McDonald and I’d like to pick up one of my October reads. Either The Bog Wife by Kay Chronister or The Coven by Harper L Woods.  I have a pretty busy month for October and in fact have some more SPFBO books to read passed  over to me by the Critiquing Chemist.

  1. Smile and Be a Villain by Yves Donlon
  2. Gorse by Sam K Horton

Books read this week:

I  seem to have had a busy week this week so I’m a little behind with blog hopping and comments.  I’m quite happy with my reading and reviewing (it felt like my reading was going slowly but when I look at my books this week that clearly wasn’t the case.   I’m still reading The Gods Below by Andrea Stewart (although I’ve decided to put it down and pick it up in a few days – it’s a mood thing).  I read and reviewed So Thirsty by Rachel Harrison, I also read the other vampire story that I was excited about Lucy Undying by Kiersten White.  In SPFBO news I’ve now completed the five books I chose to read fully.  Touched by Magic by Celine Jeanjean and Smile and Be A Villain by Yves Donlon – I’m now waiting to see what books the Critiquing Chemist will be giving me to read..

Next Week’s Reads:

This week I am hoping to read a ghost story with an interesting historic setting, The Haunting of Moscow House by Olesya Salnikova Gilmore and I’m also keen to pick up Gorse by Sam  K Horton.

  1. This Girl’s a Killer by Emma C Wells
  2. So Thirsty by Rachel Harrison
  3. Touched by Magic by Celine Jeanjean
