Sunday Post

I’m trying to get back into the habit of doing a round-up of the week just completed and also take a look at my plans for the forthcoming week.  I rather got out of the habit of doing so but I would like to reinstate this type of post as I feel it keeps me on track.  So, I’m linking up to The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s  Caffeinated Reviewer.  Without further ado:

Books read this week:

What a crazy and hectic week this has been.  There’s been lots going on and on top of that in the last few days we’ve all fallen prey to the dreaded lurgy.  I think the Grinch has stolen Christmas for us – but, it matters not, we’ll just put a slight delay on things.  Hope everyone else is keeping well?  My listening to Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff (about 7 hours left) has not progressed this week – mainly because I’ve been ill.  I did manage to complete my first SPFBO finalist and I’ve made a great start on Voyage of the Damned by Frances White – what a fantastic story this is so far, I’m absolutely loving it and can’t wait to pick it back up – 30% in so far.  Seriously, loving it.

Books read this week:

I’ve been away for a few days for my birthday.  We had a great time but it has put me behind a little with reading and blogging so I’m back to playing catch up.  I’ve carried on listening to Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff (about 7 hours left).  I’ve read the Mystery Guest by Nita Prose and also made a start (about 50% in) with one of my SPFBO Semi Finalists.

Is everyone else finding that time is racing.  I don’t seem to have enough time in the day at all.  Anyway, this week I managed to complete The Hacienda by Isabel Cañas.  I’ve continued listening to Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff (about 13 hours left – yes, this is a long book) and I’ve also read a Haunting in the Arctic by CJ Cooke.  So, I am making good progress with the reads I’m trying to complete.  I’ve now started the Mystery Guest by Nita Prose.

I’ve managed to complete all my November reads and catch up with some October carryovers.  This week I completed What the River Knows by Isabel Ibañez.  I made progress with Empire Vampire and I’ve almost finished The Hacienda by Isabel Cañas.

Books read this week:

I’ve been enjoying my reading this week.  I finished The Ghosts of Beatrice Bird by Louisa Morgan which was lovely.  I’ve continued listing to Jay Kristoff’s Empire of the Vampire, I’ve still got about 17 hours left – this is a long book!  I also read Good Girls Don’t Die by Christina Henry and I’m a third of the way into What the River Knows by Isabel Ibañez which, when complete, means I’m all up to date with my November review books.
