Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme where every Tuesday we look at a particular topic for discussion and use various (or more to the point ten) bookish examples to demonstrate that particular topic. Top Ten Tuesday (created and hosted by The Broke and Bookish) is now being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and future week’s topics can be found here. This week’s prompt is:

Once again I am counting down to the New Year, as with the previous years I shall be highlighting at least one book per day to fit the prompt on that given day. The main aim for this countdown is to highlight some of my reads during the past year and to shine the spotlight on them once again (although some of the prompts relate to forthcoming reads).
Today is Day 16 of the countdown to 2026 and a list of prompts can be found here if you wish to join me in counting down to 2026 and casting a spotlight on some of your favourite books.
Today’s Prompt: Turkey Dinner– eye’s too big for your belly? A chunkster
King Sorrow by Joe Hill is definitely a fitting book for today’s prompt weighing in at a massive 896 pages – but don’t let that deter you from picking this up because it’s really, really good. Highly recommend.

For today’s prompt I’ve chosen: Paladin’s Grace by T Kingfisher. I had such a good time with this book and in fact have the second waiting to be read.

Weekly Update
Hi everyone. I hope you’ve all had a good week. I’m making very slow progress with reading – but at least I am reading so I’ll take it – I just don’t seem to have as much free time as I’d like. But, I completed and reviewed the Blackfire Blade by James Logan, I didn’t love it quite as much as The Silverblood Promise but that was a tough act to follow to be fair. And, I’m about a third into MR Carey’s Outlaw Planet.
Next Week’s reads
Well, I’d like to finish Outlaw Planet by MR Carey and then I shall be picking up I’ll Make A Spectacle of You by Beatrice Winifred Iker.

Today’s Prompt: Christmas pudding – if you could squeeze in just one more book this year:
For today’s prompt I’ve chosen: Enchanting the Fae Queen by Stephanie Burgis
This is the second instalment in The Queens of Villainy series. I’m very much looking forward to this one as Wooing the Witch Queen got off to a great start. This is one of my January review books but if I could squeeze it in before the year end it would make me very happy.
