My Cover Selection #SPFBO 17

I recently posted all the books I’m taking on for the #SPFBO 17 contest.  At the start of the contest we’re holding a cover competition.  Check out this post to see all my book covers.  I think I had some great contenders but I’ve had to pick three and so here they are:

theempire

Empire of the Dead by Phil Tucker.  I really like this cover.

sparkof

Spark of Defiance by Autumn M Birt. Another great cover – check out that beastie!

LandofGods

Land of Gods by Justin Sloan. Totally different from the first two but I like the sense of movement, the theme and the font.

Great picks, Lynn. The first cover shows such a warm tone while the fire-breathing dragon stands out in the second one. The third one is vibrant in color. Waiting for your reviews on the books. 🙂

  2. Tammy

I can’t remember, but I think those were my three favorites as well. Looks like it’s going to be a strong year!

Amazing covers, especially the middle one – because of the dragon of course 😉

Yeah, there are some good covers this year – well, in fairness there was last year too.
      Lynn 😀

I am pleased to see Land of Gods made it to your top 3, as that was of my favourite of the bunch 🙂

I think it’s a good cover – I like the colours and font and it just has the feel of an old painting somehow.
      Lynn 😀

They are all solidly good, though I prefer the top two as I think there is something a little off in the angle of the spear being brandished. The fire-breathing dragon is my favourite – but then dragons always trump everyone else on a cover…

I know what you mean about the angle of the speak because it kept niggling at me but I still like the cover, it kind of reminds me of an old painting.
      Lynn 😀

Land of Gods is my fave of the three x

  7. Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum

I probably would have narrowed my choice to these three as well 🙂

I’m looking forward to checking out all the other covers. I like this aspect of the challenge.
      Lynn 😀

  8. Laura M Hughes

Land of the Gods’ cover reminds me of T.O. Munro’s books. 🙂

    • @lynnsbooks

Ahh yes, I can see where you’re coming from with that.
      Lynn 😀
