Can’t Wait Wednesday: A Waltz of Sinister Import by Stephanie Burgis
23 September 2026
“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme that was originally created by Breaking the Spine. Unfortunately Breaking the Spine are no longer hosting so I’m now linking my posts up to Wishful Endings Can’t Wait Wednesday. Don’t forget to stop over, link up and check out what books everyone else is waiting for. If you want to take part, basically, every Wednesday, we highlight a book that we’re really looking forward to. This week my book is: A Waltz of Sinister Import by Stephanie Burgis. This is the third book in The Supernatural Adventures of Lady and Lord Riven. Here’s the cover and description:
When the notorious Lady Riven is summoned to Vienna to solve a supernatural mystery, her debonair vampiric husband insists on accompanying her. However, neither of them is prepared for the true scope of the danger lurking within the sprawling Hofburg Palace…and by the time they uncover the truth behind every glittering illusion, their relationship may change forever.
The third and final (for now!) sparkling installment of The Supernatural Adventures of Lady and Lord Riven contains copious amounts of delicious cake, a protective vampire husband, unexpected new friendships, and a waltz that might just sweep the whole continent into war unless Margaret is stubborn enough to prevent it.
Expected publication: October 2026
I love this series!! 😍 I am a bit sad to see it ends but I am so glad that we’re getting this new chapter!!
I feel the same and hope to pick this one up in the next day or two.
Lynn 😀
I just got a copy of this and will most likely squeeze it in this weekend😁 Such a fun series!
That’s my intention too. Fingers crossed it’s a great ending – although I’m sad it’s an ending at all to be honest.
Lynn 😀
Ooh enjoy, I’ve heard such good things about this series and definitely need to check it out sometime. I actually forgot all about it so seeing it appear lately has been a much needed reminder to put it on my priority list.
I really do like this author and this has been a very entertaining series, shame it’s coming to an end.
Lynn 😀
I did notice that the blurb said ‘for now’ though and it seems to be a pretty popular series so hopefully more will appear in the future sometime 🤞
