Summer of Horror: Top Ten Tuesday: Books with Handwriting on the Cover

TTT

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme where every Tuesday we look at a particular topic for discussion and use various (or more to the point ten) bookish examples to demonstrate that particular topic.  Top Ten Tuesday (created and hosted by  The Broke and Bookish) is now being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and future week’s topics can be found here.  This week’s prompt is:

Books with Handwriting on the Cover

It’s been a few weeks since I posted a TTT so I thought today’s prompt would be a great way to get back on track. Let’s take a look at some covers – and to make things a bit more difficult I’ve gone for covers that can fall under The Summer of Horror being hosted by Books Bones and Buffy.

We were on the same wave length today! I love your choices. I love the Sarah Pinborough covers!

Yes, they are amazing covers to be honest and I really enjoyed the books – so win/win.

Great choices! I see some favorites here, including Cackle and Sunshine!

Actually I was pleased when Sunshine fit my theme, I had more titles but the font just didn’t work.

Hollow Kingdom rings a bell, I think I DNFd that a few years ago 😂

Well, you can’t love all the books after all. I enjoyed it and in fact read the second but it is a very unusual premise and probably not everyone’s cup of tea.

I honestly cannot pick between Murder and Mayhem, but those are my fav!

Ive read two of these but really need to check out Hollow Kingdom and those Pinborough books sometime. I love the style of those covers too, definitely eye catching and you can tell just by looking at them that its set around the time of Jack The Ripper. The green on the other really makes it stand out too.

Yes, I love the Ripper vibes that the covers just ooze.

I really enjoyed it but check out Charlotte’s blog above for a different opinion. Good to have both sides of the coin.

Great choices and I can’t believe I’ve read six of these. That has to be a record for me.

Wow, six, that’s great. TBH I can’t believe I came up with ten horror stories as it’s not my go to genre.
