Top Ten Tuesday: Books with Honorifics in the Title

TTT

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme where every Tuesday we look at a particular topic for discussion and use various (or more to the point ten) bookish examples to demonstrate that particular topic.  Top Ten Tuesday (created and hosted by  The Broke and Bookish) is now being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and future week’s topics can be found here.  This week’s prompt is:

Books with Honorifics in the Title

Not sure how well this one works but I’m thinking of roles that people become known as – so ‘the scholar, the priest, etc.

The Scholar and the Last Faerie Door by HG Parry

The Maid’s Secret by Nita Prose

Wooing the Witch Queen by Stephanie Burgis (two honorifics in this book!)

The Bog Wife by Kay Chronister

The Whispering Muse by Laura Purcell

The Heiress by Rachel Hawkins

Priest of Bones by Peter McLean

The Blacktongue Thief by Christopher Buehlman

The Sin Eater by Megan Campisi

The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova

Love seeing The Blacktongue Thief and The Heiress on any list😁

I like your take on this! I have two copies of The Historian that I need to make time for. Maybe I will now that I have the ebook 😅

I read that a very long time ago. I enjoyed it but it was a little ponderous.

It seems like it would be a great rainy day book. Ponderous can be good, but I definitely need to be in the right frame of mind for that.

Ooh great list, I’ve read and really enjoyed two of these. Pretty sure the rest are on my TBR. I especially need to get to that Nita Prose series though as I’m not sure if there’s an adaptation coming out 🤔 I saw something with the title anyway but I need to look into whether it’s an adaptation or just something with the same name.

I saw something about an adaptation too and wondered if it was for the Prose books but then I forgot to check it out. Doh.

I actually checked two days ago and it turns out I was wrong. It’s for the Freida McFadden books.
