Top Ten Tuesday: New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2024

TTT

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme where every Tuesday we look at a particular topic for discussion and use various (or more to the point ten) bookish examples to demonstrate that particular topic.  Top Ten Tuesday (created and hosted by  The Broke and Bookish) is now being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and future week’s topics can be found here.  This week’s prompt is:

New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2024

I actually had quite a few ‘new to me’ authors during last year’s reading and so many good books but the following ten were definitely some of my favourite reads for 2024.

  1. The September House by Carissa Orlando
  2. Murder Road by Simone St James
  3. The Silverblood Promise by James Logan
  4. We Used To Live Here by Marcus Kliewer
  5. A Little Trickerie by Rosanna Pike
  6. Gorse by Sam K Horton
  7. Bless Your Heart  by Lindy Ryan
  8. Hear Him Calling by Carly Reagon
  9. Run by Blake Crouch
  10. The Scholar and the Last Faerie Door by HG Parry

Have you read any of these? What did you think??

I have read only one of the books you mentioned, The Silverblood Promise, and I loved It! I can’t wait for the sequel!!

Oh my, it was such a good book. I’m very keen to pick up the next.

This post almost sums up my TBR list for books I’d like to read some time very soon 😀

I haven’t read anything by any of these authors yet but I have quite a few of them on my TBR. The one I most need to get to is The Silverblood Promise where I’ve seen so much hype for it (I feel like that & The Tainted Cup were two of the most praised books I saw last year). I’d love to get to The Scholar & The Last Faery Door and Gorse soon too though. I’m glad you found so many fantastic authors. Hopefully 2025 will bring even more your way.

So many good books last year – it’s difficult to read them all.

Simone St. James, James Logan, and Lindy Ryan were all new to me as well and SO good!

I read Gorse last year too – the atmosphere was great 🙂 The Scholar and the Last Faerie Door is on my TBR, although I have read something by that author a few years ago – highly recommend The Unlikely Escape of Uriah Heep!

There are some really good Simone St. James you can read now, like The Book of Cold Cases and The Sun Down Motel! Fun list😁

And I own copies of both – now I just need some extra time 😀

I didn’t know you only read Blake Crouch last year! I am also looking forward to what Carissa Orlando will write next, September house was absolutely amazing!
