Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme where every Tuesday we look at a particular topic for discussion and use various (or more to the point ten) bookish examples to demonstrate that particular topic. Top Ten Tuesday (created and hosted by The Broke and Bookish) is now being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and future week’s topics can be found here. This week I’ve done the exact opposite of the prompt – which was earliest published books on my TBR. Instead I’ve chosen:
Newest (aka latest Books On My TBR)
For this week’s prompt I’ve chosen ten books that are not yet published that I am excited to start reading in the new year:
Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix
Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeney
Grave Empire by Richard Swan
Black Woods. Blue Sky by Eowyn Ivey
The Crimson Road by AG Slatter
Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales by Heather Fawcett
Wooing the Witch Queen by Stephanie Burgis
Once Was Willem by MR Carey
Senseless by Ronald Malfi
The Devils by Joe Abercrombie

Nice, I just added Black Woods Blue Sky to my watch list thanks to this post! 😀
Yeah, I loved Snow Child so couldn’t resist.
Lynn 😀
Emily Wilde books 2 & 3 are on my wishlist.
I’ve added The Crimson Road as well, mostly based on how much I like the cover (!) but I’m wondering if that’s wise if it’s the same world/characters as other books by the same author.
Ooh, I love the fae books. I can’t wait for this third instalment. I couldn’t say for sure but Slatter does usually write in the same universe of make believe -but the stories are usually self contained so can be read without having read the others.
Lynn 😀
Excellent spin on the topic! I’m excited for most of these, especially the Ronald Malfi and Stephanie Burgis😁
I couldn’t go with the earlier topic as my list is a bit messed up so this was so much easier. Plus tbh I like looking at all the new books.
Lynn 😀
Fun! A bunch of these are on my TBR as well — Hendrix, Slatter, the Emily Wilde book… So much to look forward to!
I know, I have so many good books to look forward to already in 2025.
Lynn 😀
Only one of these wasn’t already on my TBR so I suppose I better go and look that one up 😂 I’m most excited for the Emily Wilde one although I definitely want to try something by A.G. Slatter next year. I’m leaning towards trying Path Of Thorns first but all of their books intrigue me. I hope you enjoy all of these and that 2025 proves to be a wonderful reading year for you.
