Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme where every Tuesday we look at a particular topic for discussion and use various (or more to the point ten) bookish examples to demonstrate that particular topic. Top Ten Tuesday (created and hosted by The Broke and Bookish) is now being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and future week’s topics can be found here. This week’s topic:
Books I Meant to Read in 2023 but Didn’t Get To
Well the first half of last year was fairly dreadful for me and so I had a number of books for review that I didn’t pick up. Thankfully my reading is now back on track but I do have a number of books that I would like to try and catch up with. Here is a selection:
The Magician’s Daughter by HG Parry
The Fairy Bargains of Prospect Hill by Rowenna Miller
The Secrets of Hartwood Hall by Katie Lumsden
Our Hideous Progeny by CE McGill
Scarlet by Genevieve Cogman
The Revels by Stacey Thomas
Broken Light by Joanne Harris
The Bone Shard War by Andrea Stewart
The Half Burnt House by Alex North
The Cleaving by Juliet E McKenna
Have you read any of these – do you have a favourite that I should start first?
I haven’t heard off any of these!

Thanks for stopping by.
Lynn 😀
I have a couple of those TBR myself. I did read and really liked The Magician’s Daughter. It was one of my fave books last year.
Oh, that’s good to know. I’ll have to make that one a priority.
Lynn 😀
I hope you enjoy them when you get to them.
Thanks, hopefully I can get to some of these – I’m determined to try hard to catch up.
Lynn 😀
I’m seeing The Half Burnt House for the first time, that’s the one I’d read😁
Yes, I like that author so maybe I should fit that one in soon.
Lynn 😀
Don’t think I’ve heard of The Revels before but that cover instantly catches my eye. Is it a mouse wearing a ruffled collar?! I don’t know why but I’m intrigued 😀
Yes, I hadn’t noticed that detail.
Think I’ll have to pick this one up first just on the strength of a ‘ruff wearing mouse’.
Lynn 😀
I hope you’re able to get to these this year.
I hope so too.
Lynn 😀
The books are your list are on my TBR list, too; but, not all of them are in my Top 10 list of the same caliber.
Yes, you’ve probably got a point.
Lynn 😀
