Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme where every Tuesday we look at a particular topic for discussion and use various (or more to the point ten) bookish examples to demonstrate that particular topic. Top Ten Tuesday (created and hosted by The Broke and Bookish) is now being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and future week’s topics can be found here. This week’s topic is:
Anticipated Book Releases for the First Half of 2020
Well, there are a lot of books that I’m looking forward to this year but here are the first 10 releases that spring immediately to mind:
A Longer Fall by Charlaine Harris (Gunnie Rose #2)
The Girl and the Stars by Mark Lawrence (Book of the Ice #1)
A Time of Courage by John Gwynne (Of Blood and Bone #3)
Shorefall by RJ Bennett (Founders #2)
Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno Garcia
The Glass Hotel by Emily St. John Mandel
Great choices! Mexican Gothic sounds so good.
Yep, and I love this author.
Lynn 😀
Happy to hear that!
A Longer Fall was so good! I really enjoy this series by Charlaine Harris ❤️
Yes, I loved the first one and am very keen to get to A Longer Fall.
Lynn 😀
I’m so excited for The Glass Hotel! Station Eleven was fantastic.
Yes, I loved station eleven so was really excited to see this one.
Lynn 😀
Great list! I’m looking forward to The Other People too and Mexican Gothic looks awesome 😊

I think the Other People is my next read so I’m excited for that one.
Lynn 😀
Yes to Gwynne!👍📚 The Other People is awesome.
That’s my next read – I’m quite excited to get to it.
Lynn 😀
Looks like you have some great books to look forward to – I hope you get your hands on all of them when they are released. 🙂 I found this week’s topic pretty hard because I don’t pay huge attention to new releases, except for those books I get early from NetGalley. However I have had a good go! 😀
Can’t wait to see what’s on your list Jessica 😀
A new novel from MR Carey and the final (?) book in John Gwynne’s latest saga: it feels like Christmas will come around sooner this year… 😉
Yes, so much goodness to look forward and I love the sound of the book that Gwynne is now working on too.
Lynn 😀
Reblogged this on THE BLOGGING STATION.
Thanks for reblogging 😀
Oh… what!!! Mexican Gothic… Shorefall… The Book of Koli… I’m supposed to be cutting down my reading lists, not growing them! A week into 2020 and one of my main New Year’s Resolutions bites the dust – not to buy so many new books – I hope you’re ashamed, because it’s your fault!
Great list though, Lynn:))
I know – sorry. There are such a lot of good books coming up this year. Mexican Gothic really intrigues me – both author and title.
Lynn 😀
Oh, I know… almost everyone single person’s list I’ve seen has contained books from authors and/or series I’ve LOVED. She is a really interesting writer and a mighty talent.
I’m excited for all of these! I’m reading A Longer Fall right now and it’s really good😁
Can’t wait to read your review.
Lynn 😀
Haha, pretty much everything here is on my TBR too, other than West Side Saints and the John Gwynn book because I’m not caught up 😛
So much catching up – December didn’t help me as much as I’d like, too much socialising – which I confess I enjoyed very much so I don’t feel too guilty.
Lynn 😀
So many good books are coming!

It’s such a nice feeling, all these lovely books to look forward to
Lynn 😀
Oo, haven’t read any of those! Mexican Gothic looks intriguing might have to check that out.
I love the author and have read three of her books already and loved them so a new release by her is always exciting for me – and the fact it has ‘gothic’ in the title, well, I’m sold.
Lynn 😀
I’ve seen so many covers for The Girl and the Stars and I love them all. Enough that I bought the first two books in The Red Sister companion series. American Gothic and The Deep made my list as well. Great books here!
Yes, I love the covers for Girl and the Stars and can’t wait to read it.
Lynn 😀
So excited for A Longer Fall! I’ve been wanting to read some of Alma Katsu’s books too, she’s so nice in person, and this one looks amazing.
I read Alma Katsu a few years ago and loved her writing so I’m excited very much to pick up more. And yes to A Longer Fall. Cannot wait.
Lynn 😀
