“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme that was originally created by Breaking the Spine. Unfortunately Breaking the Spine are no longer hosting so I’m now linking my posts up to Wishful Endings Can’t Wait Wednesday. Don’t forget to stop over, link up and check out what books everyone else is waiting for. If you want to take part, basically, every Wednesday, we highlight a book that we’re really looking forward to. This week my book is : Spellslinger 6: Crownbreaker (Spellslinger #6) by Sebastien de Castell. I love this series – in fact it’s a little bit sad that it’s coming to an end.
The sixth – and final – instalment of the inimitable SPELLSLINGER series.
Kellen and Reichis are settling into their new lives as protectors of the young queen and dealing with the constantly shifting threats to her reign and to her life. For the first time in his life, Kellen feels as if he’s becoming the kind of man that his mentor Ferius had wanted him to be. Even Reichis has come to appreciate having a noble purpose – so long as no one minds him committing the occasional act of theft from the royal treasury.
But what seems to be a simple card game between Kellen and an old man is soon revealed to be a deadly game of wits in which a powerful mage has trapped the queen’s spellslinger in order to kill him.
Expected publication : October 2019
I recently read book one of this series, and am really liking it so far!

I hope it works it’s magic on you.

I really need to get around to reading this series. I read the first book and really enjoyed it. I figured it only gets better with each book.
It really does get better. I suppose similar to a lot of good series, the character growth just makes for strong attachments.

I wish I had kept up with this series, but I’m not sure I’ll ever catch up now. I’ll wait to hear your thoughts, that will be almost as good as reading it!
You just can’t read all the series – I’m trying to be careful at the moment and I still have a crazy amount of books for the next two months – goodness only knows what would happen if I wasn’t being ‘careful’.
Lynn 😀
I know lots of people love this author and this series. Hope you love it too!
I hope it has a fitting end.
Lynn 😀
I love these covers. I really need to pick up book one.
Well, the series will soon be complete so you would have the benefit of knowing all the books are out there. The covers are fantastic.

Yes, I’m really excited to read this! That I’ve stayed with the series is testament to how good it is, I usually fall behind 😛
Me too. hope it all ends well.
Lynn 😀
Oh yes! This is a series I’ve kept up with, too – and am looking forward to this final instalment with a mixture of excitement and dread… I hope he wraps it up successfully!
Me too – I have confidence that he will do though.
Lynn 😀
Oh I hope so! I often tend to hesitate before reading the last in a much-loved series…
Yet another series I need to catch up on. At some point I need to sequester myself from the world and new books coming out and just play catch up lol. 🙂
I know – I blame the new books – they’re too tempting.
Lynn 😀
