#SPFBO Cover Competition
The cover competition for this year’s SPFBO is now live. See here for all the details. Each blogger will now pick four covers and place them in their order of first, second, etc. Check out some of these covers – there are some absolute beauties here. It’s going to be a real struggle to narrow this down to four – at the moment I have at least 10 very strong contenders! Which ones are your favourites:
Never Die (my #1), Beggar’s Rebellion
I’m very chuffed because Never Die came 1st in the blogger poll. *Happy dance*
Lynn 😀
So many good covers this year! The Fairy Wren immediately jumped out at me, maybe because it’s one of the few lighter, brighter covers. I also love Spark City and Never Die.
That particular cover did very well in the public opinion poll and I’m really not surprised because it’s very striking.
Lynn 😀
Wow – they are so good! My personal favourite is From the Shadow of the Owl Queen’s Court – but it’s a close-run thing…
Yes, Benedict Patrick’s books always have amazing covers.
Lynn 😀
So many indie authors are upping their game regarding their covers. There was a time when you mostly could look at a cover and know whether the book was traditionally published, or an indie publication – those days are gone!
They really are long gone. You get the odd one here and there that is a bit obvious but on the whole the quality is much improved.
Lynn 😀
My favorite is Our Bloody Pearl! It is SO gorgeous
I really is – with the skull – very clever.
Lynn 😀
I think I included it in a post I made at the end of the year last year where I did the top 20 best covers of the year.
Ooh – if you pick up this comment perhaps you could send me a link. I’d love to see your favourites.

I love a lot of these! Beneath Cruel Fathoms is my favorite though, wow 😀
That is a lovely cover – so many good ones to choose from.
Lynn 😀
Oh I am pleased I don’t have this difficult decision, because there are some really great covers here! However I particularly like the Fairy Wren: simple but beautiful. 🙂
The Fairy Wren is beautiful and really quite striking. As it turns out it did very well in the general poll.
Lynn 😀
Yay! More covers ❤ Tho I don't envy you the task of picking your four favorite, there are some really really good covers in that list! The covers that make me want to read the books the most are Spark City and Skies of the Empire (I love female pirates!) but I don't think those would be me favorite covers
There are some gorgeous covers this year and so it was really tough to choose four – I had at least 10 favourites!
Lynn 😀
So many good covers! Well, you know I’m partial to Benedict Patrick’s covers. But I also really love the cover for The Lord of Stariel, and I rather love the cover for Blood of Heirs.
There were some lovely covers this year which did make it very difficult to choose.
