Books on my Summer reading list

ttt

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme where every Tuesday we look at a particular topic for discussion and use various (or more to the point ten) bookish examples to demonstrate that particular topic.  Top Ten Tuesday (created and hosted by  The Broke and Bookish) is now being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and future week’s topics can be found here.  This week’s topic is:

Books On My Summer 2019 TBR

Last week’s theme was ‘anticipated reads for the rest of the year’.  Today’s post allows me to highlight some more highly anticipated reads that are scheduled in for my Summer reading.  So, another easy week where I literally just lifted the next ten upcoming reads from my schedule and posted them here.  I will also, of course, be starting my Self Published Fantasy Blog Off books as of the start of July but I haven’t listed them here for two reasons – firstly, I haven’t yet drawn up my schedule and secondly, I will be posting my first six books as soon as the competition gets underway.  So, here are some of my summer reads:

Soul of the Sword by Julie Kagawa

Priest of Lies by Peter Mclean

I’m not doing this one this week because I’m publishing another Countdown Questions – this time with the award winning indie author Jane Davis! Her books belong on everyone’s summer reading list!

I’ve skipped this week (as I did 20 Books of Summer a couple of weeks back), but I’m right there with you for Time War, Shadows and Jade and Shadow – I’ve just started Shadows of the Short Days, and it’s intriguing!

Yep, I kind of thought last week’s themes and this were rather similar but I figured I had more than 10 books that I was anticipating or were on my Summer list so it sort of balanced itself out nicely.

Awesome list, Lynn! I’m super excited for This is How You Lose the Time War and also Gods of Jade and Shadow. There’s never a shortage of amazing choices😁

    • @lynnsbooks

Yep, agreed, never a shortage of things to grab out attention but I guess I’d sooner have more books than I can read than the other way around.
      Lynn 😀

    Wow, Missing Person sounds good.

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

    • @lynnsbooks

I love the author, I’ve not read all her works but only because of time constrictions to be honest so I’m hoping for much goodness from that one. She has the ability to be really quite chilling.
      Lynn 😀

I need to look up some of these books. Soul of the Sword is one I really need to get to. Great list!

The cover of the Kingdom looks awesome but the tagline sounds super creepy haha.
