Here we are again with the Friday Face Off meme created by Books by Proxy . This is a great opportunity to feature some of your favourite book covers. The rules are fairly simple each week, following a predetermined theme (list below) choose a book, compare a couple of the different covers available for that particular book and choose your favourite. Future week’s themes are listed below – the list has been updated to help out those of you who like to plan ahead – if you have a cover in mind that you’re really wanting to share then feel free to leave a comment about a future suggested theme. This week’s theme:
A heart – for Valentine’s day past
I hope you all had an easy time finding covers. I did have another book in mind this week but decided to go with: Cross Her Heart by Sarah Pinborough – because I do love this author – in a totally non-bunny-boiler-not-a-stalker-way I hasten to add!
The covers:
My favourite this week is:

I just love the colours for this and it has a certain simplicity.
Like last week I’ve added a Mr Linky here so that you can leave a link if you wish or please leave me a link in the comments so I can visit and check out your covers. Thanks
I’ll be updating the list soon to take it through a few more months – if you have any suggestions you’d like to see adding then drop a note in the comments. Thanks
Next week – A cover with abandoned building/s
Future themes: (if you’re struggling with any of these themes then use a ‘freebie’ of one of your favourite covers)

LOL, you and I chose this book for the exact same reason – “Sure, I had other options in mind, but I just love Pinborough!” My winner is similar to yours, but I went with the UK cover.
I do like the UK cover too – the blob distracted me though!
Lynn 😀
[…] UK and US book covers and decide which is we prefer. This meme is currently being nurtured by Lynn’s Book Blog and the subject this week featuring on any of our covers is HEART, so I’ve selected a classic […]
What a great choice – and I like your favourite very much, but prefer the longer pins in the UK design which is my favourite despite that nasty little blob advertising a previous book.
Yup – I think it’s the nasty little blob that contributed to me using the other cover.
Lynn 😀
Completely understandable!
😀
I like the last one the best if it didn’t have that ugly little sticker on it.
Yeah – what is with the stickers! Stop!!
Lynn 😀
Great choice this week, I do love the cover you picked, but also the other pincushion cover. Those colors really draw me to this book!
Yeah, I love the covers too.
Lynn 😀
As I told Mogsy, who made the same choice, that many-pierced heart (((OUCH!))) cannot fail to attract attention. And here goes another Pinborough book I need to read… 😉
Yeah, I know that Behind Her Eyes wasn’t your favourite but I think this one was very good – it doesn’t have any magical realism in this and relies much more on the mystery elements.
Lynn 😀

I like the last one best! Its similar to the one you picked but there is less blank space and the heart has more depth!
Yep, that one is very popular and it would be my second choice.
Lynn:D
Yes, I agree, though that looks more like black magic than a lovey dovey sign. 😉
Haha – yes, no lovey-doveyness going on here.
Lynn 😀
Great topic! I love a lot of these covers, but I think I like the other one with a pin cushion just a bit better. 🙂
Yeah, it’s proving very popular.
