Here we are again with the Friday Face Off meme created by Books by Proxy . This is a great opportunity to feature some of your favourite book covers. The rules are fairly simple each week, following a predetermined theme (list below) choose a book, compare a couple of the different covers available for that particular book and choose your favourite. Future week’s themes are listed below – the list has been updated to help out those of you who like to plan ahead – if you have a cover in mind that you’re really wanting to share then feel free to leave a comment about a future suggested theme. This week’s theme:
A comedy cover
Thankfully I found this week’s theme a bit easier than last week. I had a few books that I’d thought of but then it seemed a shame to have this particular theme and not use a Pratchett book. I love the Tiffany Aching series so the book I’ve chosen this week is : The Wee Free Men (Discworld #30) by Terry Pratchett.
The covers:
My favourite this week is:
Like last week I’ve added a Mr Linky here so that you can leave a link if you wish or please leave me a link in the comments so I can visit and check out your covers. Thanks
I’ll be updating the list soon to take it through a few more months – if you have any suggestions you’d like to see adding then drop a note in the comments. Thanks
Next week – A cover with snakes
Future themes: (if you’re struggling with any of these themes then use a ‘freebie’ of one of your favourite covers)

Oh what a fabulous choice – and WHY it didn’t occur to me to go with a Pratchett book, I don’t quite know *bangs head on desk*. As for my favourite – it’s a no-brainer – it’s weefree2. Not only is it the cover I have on my hardcover copy – I just love the detail of the horde of blue men surrounding the china shepherdess.
Haha – yes, he didn’t immediately occur to me either and in fact I was going to go down a different route – then Pratchett popped into my head and I was so happy.
Lynn 😀
Great choice of covers. My favorite is the third in the first row. I think it’s done really well and the colors are eye-catching too. The one with the button is pretty darn cute too.
Yeah, I like the cover with the button too. Lynn 😀
Thats probably my favorite from the bunch too 🙂
Yeah – it feels very ‘Pratchett’.
Lynn 😀
Yes, I agree, but I like the third one on top too.
Thanks 😀
Perfect book for this week! I love the cover you picked, and also cover #3😊
Pratchett is great for this theme – I didn’t think of him at first but I was relieved when he sprung to mind.
Lynn 😀
That’s a very funny cover! I have not read Pratchett yet, but from what I hear that image fits very well with the author’s overall spirit 🙂
Yeah, it’s a really good fit for a lovely set of books. I’ve not read all the Pratchett books but definitely recommend Tiffany Aching.
Lynn 😀

I agree with your pick! The one with the sheep looking straight on is kind of unsettling haha
It’s very unsettling.
Lynn 😀
I like the third one in the first row, which is weird, because I find sheep’s eyes creepy, lol.
Haha – yes, me too.
Lynn 😀
Great pick, Pratchett should dominate this week. 😀 Out of all the covers, I like the one you picked best too.
Thanks – when Pratchett popped into my head he seemed a natural for the theme – and I loved the Aching series.
Lynn 😀
Read The Wee Free Men in 2018 and absolutely loved it! Have you read the rest of the Tiffany Aching series?
Yeah – I read them with a group of people a couple of years ago as a readalong and absolutely loved them. I don’t know why I’ve not picked up the rest of Pratchett tbh. I should do so really.
Lynn 😀
It just had to be Pratchett for this theme! I sadly haven’t read The Wee Free Men, but I would have to go for the last cover… as its the closest I can get to the Josh Kirby illustrated covers that I love so much. 😀
