Here we are again with the Friday Face Off meme created by Books by Proxy .  This is a great opportunity to feature some of your favourite book covers.  The rules are fairly simple each week, following a predetermined theme (list below) choose a book, compare a couple of the different covers available for that particular book and choose your favourite.   Future week’s themes are listed below – the list has been updated to help out those of you who like to plan ahead – if you have a cover in mind that you’re really wanting to share then feel free to leave a comment about a future suggested theme. This week’s theme:

‘I am Aragorn son of Arathorn; and if by life or death I can save you, I will.’ – A cover featuring a hero

Another week that I think there should be lots of covers to choose from.  This week I’ve gone for The Final Empire (Mistborn #1) by Brandon Sanderson.

And the covers:

My favourite this week:

Mistborn1

Like last week I’ve added a Mr Linky here so that you can leave a link if you wish or please leave me a link in the comments so I can visit and check out your covers.  Thanks

Next week – A cover featuring a Crown

So many good ones for this one, Lynn. It’s hard to choose, but I do like your favorite a bunch! ♥️ Now I want to read the book!

  2. maddalena@spaceandsorcery

What an impressive choice of covers! My favorites are the third and fourth in the first row: they both share the theme of the character hovering as if poised for flight, with fluttering fabric streams flapping in the wind – I like that! 🙂

  3. Kaitlin (leviosanotleviosa)

So many good choices! I think my favourites are probably the 5th and 10th covers. I like their minimalism. Here’s my Friday Face Off! https://leviosanotleviosa.wordpress.com/2018/12/07/friday-face-off-2/

  4. mervih

Vin is an excellent choice for a hero. My favorite is the second in the last row

  5. sjhigbee

Oh yes – what an excellent choice for this week’s covers. And while I don’t think there is one here that I dislike – I’m wish you. I love the cover that you’ve chosen…

  6. Carmen

I love the third cover on top.

  7. Tammy

Wow Lynn! What a gorgeous bunch of covers! I love many of these but my favorite is #4. I love the colors.

  8. Barb (boxermommyreads)

So many cover but yep, I like the one you chose as well. Some of them just don’t mesh for me.

  9. PerfectlyTolerable

Good cover choice! There are a lot of good ones 😀 but I think I like the 3rd and last ones best 😀

  10. Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum

I’ve always been fond of that cover too! Even with all the new versions, this has remained my favorite.

  11. waytoofantasy

I’ve only seen two or three of these covers for Mistborn before. I LOVE the one you picked, that’s been my favorite. Maybe I just like the color, haha. 🙂

  12. Amanda @Cover2CoverMom

I’ve actually never read a Brandon Sanderson book! Where do you even start?

My favorite cover is the last one – the black and white one with the touch of light blue!
