August : My Month in Covers
I hope everyone has had a lovely August. It’s been a little bit slow for me in terms of reading, mostly due to spending such a lot of time with friends and family – which is always good. As well as the books below I’ve also read at least the first 30% of all of my six books for the start of the SPFBO and I’ll be posting about that at the beginning of September. Below is a quick round up of the books I’ve read during August – all displayed in covers. My month in review will follow shortly. Hope you’ve read some good books this month.
And my six SPFBO books are:
I love those Agatha Christie covers!
I know – I really enjoyed the book too.
Lynn 😀
I just finished Temper too. I don’t recall seeing your review, hope I didn’t miss it! Anyway, I couldn’t really get into it, but I suspect it might just be me. It was very strange, and admittedly, I don’t do too well with “weird” books 😛
Nope, you didn’t miss it – I’m a total slacker and behind with my reviews. I’m with you – I didn’t enjoy Temper as much as Prey of Gods, It was very creative but it just didn’t pull me in somehow.
Lynn 😀
Oh, I like the UK cover for Foundryside!
It’s lovely isn’t it.
Lynn 😀
[…] trying to catch up with my reviews although I do have a few to post. My lovely looking covers are here. Here’s my month in […]
I really love that cover for The Tower of Living and Dying.
I know right. It’s bloody gorgeous.
Lynn 😀
I have to do another attempt of Temper this month because I ended up DNF in August. I don’t think I was in the right mindset for it…but it may just be the book? I don’t know. I’ll give it one more go! Interested to see your review for that one!
Well, as you know, it didn’t really work out for me.
Lynn 😀
Lynn, your August books have some great covers, especially your SPFBO books. I particularly love the covers for The Tower of Living and Dying, The Purple Haze and Kingshold. 🙂
The Tower of Living and Dying was great and the cover blew me away.
