“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme that was originally created by Breaking the Spine. Unfortunately Breaking the Spine are no longer hosting so I’m now linking my posts up to Wishful Endings Can’t Wait Wednesday. Don’t forget to stop over, link up and check out what books everyone else is waiting for. If you want to take part, basically, every Wednesday, we highlight a book that we’re really looking forward to. This week my book is: The Stars Now Unclaimed (The Universe After #1) by Drew Williams.
Perfect for fans of Firefly and James S. A. Corey’s Expanse series, The Stars Now Unclaimed is a fun, adventure-filled ride around a far-future galaxy.
Jane Kamali is an agent for the Justified. Her mission: to recruit children with miraculous gifts in the hope that they might prevent the Pulse from once again sending countless worlds back to the dark ages.
Hot on her trail is the Pax–a collection of fascist zealots who believe they are the rightful rulers of the galaxy and who remain untouched by the Pulse.
Now Jane, a handful of comrades from her past, and a telekinetic girl called Esa must fight their way through a galaxy full of dangerous conflicts, remnants of ancient technology, and other hidden dangers.
And that’s just the beginning . . .
Due to be published August 2018
Oh wow… *drools on the keyboard* That cover… and that title… and that blurb… dammit you get such COOL books!!!
Haha – yeah, I love the look and sound of this one.

This sounds SO good! I’d snap this one up in a heartbeat 😀
It does sound really good doesn’t it.

Hmmm…Sounds a little like Stephen King’s The Dark Tower perhaps? In any case, I hope you like it and it delivers on its excellent premise.
I haven’t read Dark Tower – I keep promising myself to do so.
Lynn 😀
Yeah, so much about this is a win!
I hope so 😀
I love the sound of this, any adventure that takes place in space is one I want to go along on!
I know what you mean and I love the sound of this one.
Lynn 😀
This one looks good! Putting it on my list to watch for!
Yeah, I love the sound of this one.

What an awesome cover and this book would be perfect for my Swords and Stars challenge this year.
Ooh, Swords and Stars – is that one that you’re organising??
This sounds great. A far future and kids with special gifts… I can definitely see this one being good.
I have a really good vibe for this one so I’m excited.
Lynn 😀
After your mention of Firefly and The Expanse I lost track of everything else because I was totally caught – hook, line and sinker. 🙂 WOW
It sounds so good doesn’t it.
Lynn 😀
This one’s on my list too. I won’t deny the “perfect for fans of James S. A. Corey’s Expanse series” description had a lot to do with it 😀
It sounds really good. I don’t read a lot of sci fi so I try to be a bit careful but hopefully this will fit the bill for me.
Lynn 😀
I love the tagline on the cover “To redeem their past, they’ll have to save their future.” Very intriguing!
I think this one has got a really great blurb. Hopefully I love it.
Lynn 😀
