Every Tuesday over at  The Broke and Bookish we all get to look at a particular topic for discussion and use various (or more to the point ten) examples to demonstrate that particular topic.  This week’s topic is:

Top Ten Books I Hope Santa Brings

I’ve picked below ten random books that are still on my wishlist.  I’ve narrowed this down already this year as I had a rather good gift card and it was all spent on books:

  1. Jade City by Fonda Lee
  2. Austral by Paul McAuley
  3. The Tethered Mage by Melissa Caruso
  4. Royal Bastards by Andrew Schvarts
  5. Ararat by Christopher Golden
  6. The Vanishing by Sophia Tobin
  7. We Are All Completely Fine by Daryl Gregory
  8. Love Minus Eighty by Will McIntosh
  9. False Hearts by Laura Lam
  10. Your choice??

Hmmm…I have a wishlist, which I collect by reading other people’s reviews, exactly for this kind of occasions.

Haha – yes, this is exactly what I do – unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) it tends to grow after every Tuesday’s TTT post.

I was lucky enough to find Jade City as a Kindle daily deal a week or so ago and grabbed it for under $3.00. I’ve not seen The Vanishing before and now you have me intrigued. Hope Santa brings you lots of goodies.

I’m going to pick up Jade City too – I’ve seen it on offer and I have a gift card so how can I resist.

Awesome list! You must read the Daryl Gregory book, it’s one of my favorites. I’m hoping to get to Jade City soon and I’m also dying to read Live Minus Eighty.

  4. @lynnsbooks

So many books – pity Santa can’t bring us some more time. Still it’s nice to have books that you’re looking forward to isn’t it.
    Lynn 😀

I’ve not heard of any of these but they look like I should check into them for my reading challenge next year…

Both The Tethered Mage and Jade City are wonderful reads, and the latter is a surprisingly different story that I loved very much: can’t wait to hear what you think of them both… Meanwhile… Happy reading! 🙂

I definitely want to start reading more of my own books this year. Fingers crossed.

I hope Santa brings you many books off your wish list 😀

What a lovely list – you’re in for a treat with Austral and I’ve just acquired The Tethered Mage myself and I’d add ‘Dark Eden’ by Chris Beckett – a fabulous lost colony adventure with an odd twist… I hope these all end up under your Christmas tree, Lynn:))

I have so many books right now that I’m actually giddy! Can’t wait to start some of them.

[…] saw this on one of the blogs I follow, Lynn’s Book Blog (go check her out!) It is an adult thriller, which I am really interested in right […]

Jade City was such an awesome surprise! Loved the idea; felt like it was something sooo rare nowadays. Hope you get the chance to read and enjoy it. 😉

I hope Santa brings you The Tethered Mage and The Royal Bastards! Those were both fun books. And ooh, also Love Minus Eighty! One of my favorite books ever!

I’m buying books now – of course I have quite a lot on my wishlist but Tethered Mage is definitely high on the list.
      Lynn 😀
