Here we are again with the Friday Face Off meme created by Books by Proxy . This is a great opportunity to feature some of your favourite book covers. The rules are fairly simple each week, following a predetermined theme (list below) choose a book, compare a couple of the different covers available for that particular book and choose your favourite. Future week’s themes are listed below. This week’s theme:
Faint Heart Never Won Fair Lady – a cover featuring a heart
I struggled this week – I had two books in mind but they didn’t have alternate covers so I’ve gone for a book that I currently own but haven’t yet read – this can be my incentive to get into gear: False Heart by Laura Lam:

Which is your favourite?
Next week – a cover featuring a Viking
Future themes:
6th October 2017 – ‘Then let the crabs be cursed by Odin’ – a cover featuring a Viking ‘
13th October 2017 – You have nice manners for a thief, and a LIAR!’ – a cover with a dragon
20th October 2017 – ‘Me and my….’ – a cover featuring a Shadow
27th October 2017 – “Thus with a kiss I die” – a cover featuring a couple
3rd November 2017 – ‘Desperate affairs require desperate measures’ – a regency style cover
10th November 2017 – ‘zip it, lock it and throw away the key – a cover featuring a key
17th November 2017 – Snap! – a cover featuring a double image or reflection
24th November 2017 – ‘I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently’ – a cover featuring snow
1st December 2017 – The pen is mightier than the sword – a cover featuring a fancy font
8th December 2017 – ‘Do not go gentle’ – a cover featuring the night…
15th December 2017 – Hubble bubble toil and trouble – a cover featuring a portion/perfume bottle
Great picks! I actually choose the third cover since it looks so mysterious, but great pick!

Thanks 😀
This is a book im dying to read as well, and l do love that cover you picked. This seems like it was a tough theme this week, maybe?
It was definitely tough for me – I couldn’t think of any – well, I did, but they didn’t have alternative covers.
Lynn 😀
I fancy the third cover. 🙂
Nice 😀
This book was going to be my choice today too! But then at the very last minute I changed just to avoid possible clashing, because I know this has become very popular lately (and for good reason, it’s a great book!) I would have chosen the fingerprint cover as well, I think it’s so clever given the story!
I need to read this soon.
Lynn 😀
I like the second one because I prefer not squinting to find the title… It sounds an interesting premise and I look forward to hearing what you make of it.
It sounds really good doesn’t it and there is a lot of love for this book so hopefully I’ll love it.
Lynn 😀
I’m looking forward to hearing what you make of it.
I agree with your choice – I think it clever to make a heart out of two fingerprints.
It really is clever – especially seeing that no two fingerprints are alike.
Lynn 😀
Ooo I didn’t think of that second bit!
