“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme that was created by Breaking the Spine. Every Wednesday we highlight a book that we’re really looking forward to. This week my book is : Oathbringer (The Stormlight Archive #3) by Brandon Sanderson. I cannot wait to read this. Cannot. Wait.
In Oathbringer, the third volume of the New York Timesbestselling Stormlight Archive, humanity faces a new Desolation with the return of the Voidbringers, a foe with numbers as great as their thirst for vengeance.
Dalinar Kholin’s Alethi armies won a fleeting victory at a terrible cost: The enemy Parshendi summoned the violent Everstorm, which now sweeps the world with destruction, and in its passing awakens the once peaceful and subservient parshmen to the horror of their millennia-long enslavement by humans. While on a desperate flight to warn his family of the threat, Kaladin Stormblessed must come to grips with the fact that the newly kindled anger of the parshmen may be wholly justified.
Nestled in the mountains high above the storms, in the tower city of Urithiru, Shallan Davar investigates the wonders of the ancient stronghold of the Knights Radiant and unearths dark secrets lurking in its depths. And Dalinar realizes that his holy mission to unite his homeland of Alethkar was too narrow in scope. Unless all the nations of Roshar can put aside Dalinar’s blood-soaked past and stand together–and unless Dalinar himself can confront that past–even the restoration of the Knights Radiant will not prevent the end of civilization.

Yup! I want this 🙂
I can’t wait to read this one.
Lynn 😀
I’m the only person not reading this series. Oh well. Something to start when I don’t have a blog! (Someday)
Haha – definitely a series that I think would daunt me at this stage if I had to catch up. Such huge books but definitely worth it so far.
Lynn 😀
With the sheer size of these books I’m not sure I’ll ever get caught up, but I do want to read this series!
It’s a great series. I really enjoy this and think you’d love it.
Lynn 😀
I need to read a Brandon Sanderson book eventually. I bet tons of people are wanting this one as well.
I think that’d be a safe bet. I can’t wait.
Lynn 😀
I do like Brandon Sanderson’s writing, but somehow this series has slipped past me – this is one I’d like to catch up with – thank you for sharing, Lynn:)
I loved the first two books – they’re massive and I admit that when I picked them up I was daunted but the beauty of them was that they didn’t feel like huge books to read.
Lynn 😀
Yes, I have noticed that about his writing – once you get into it, the pages seem to turn themselves…
One of my blogger friends is super excited about this book! It’s neat how tor.com is releasing the first 30 chapters or whatever. Then again, this book is supposed to be huge. 😀 I hope you enjoy this book when you get the chance to read it!
Have a wonderful week. =)
Check out my WoW post!
Yeah, this series – the books are all huge – but they don’t feel like huge books because they’re so good.
Lynn 😀
GAAAaaaaAAAAaaaaAAAHHHH I CAN’T WAIT.
I know 😀
