Here we are again with the Friday Face Off meme created by Books by Proxy . This is a great opportunity to feature some of your favourite book covers. The rules are fairly simple each week, following a predetermined theme (list below) choose a book, compare a couple of the different covers available for that particular book and choose your favourite. Books and travelling with Lynn 
I like the original, familiar design as well. What’s weird is that I’ve looked at this cover for years, and only recently did I notice the nice touch of the wolves on the gates!
Me too – I was drawn to them because I thought at first it was Mercy’s hair blowing or something and it just drew my eye.

Having not read the book, I can’t comment out which cover suites the story, but I would agree the covers that have the woman with the gate and moon behind look the best.
There are some strange covers for this book – a couple of the ones here look like they’re trying to be scary – I wouldn’t call these books scary – I mean they have their moments but they’re definitely not horror.

I like the first cover in the second row (German edition?): the motif of the howling wolf on the gate is amazing, and for a moment it prevented me from noticing the red eyes in the background….
I like the French cover too.
Sorry I’m sooo behind in responding – I fell horribly behind over the week-end. I LOVE your book choice – it is spot on and yes… I’m with you – I love the fifth cover with the gates and the red eyes – very creepy and atmospheric, but your favourite is a very close second:). I was all set to go with a mother next week – until I noticed the Proxy stipulates mummification. At least there are plenty books around that fall into that category. Have a great week, Lynn.
