Soul Meets Soul on Lovers’ Lips

Here we are again with the Friday Face Off meme created by Books by Proxy .   This is a great opportunity to feature some of your favourite book covers.  The rules are fairly simple each week, following a predetermined theme (list below) choose a book, compare a couple of the different covers available for that particular book and choose your favourite.   Future week’s themes are listed below. This week’s theme:

9th December – Soul Meets Soul on Lovers’ Lips – a cover with lips

And, my choice this week is Lips Touch: Three Times by Laini Taylor.  (I have this book on my shelves but haven’t read it yet – it’s such a beautiful book though.  Time to bump this one up the list.

and my winner:

I love this cover.  It’s so striking and it just makes me want to keep looking at it.  The cover I own is the one with the fruit (could have used that one last week!)

Which is your favourite??

If you fancy joining in with the FFO the themes for the next few weeks are below.

16 December – Give a Girl the Right Shoes and she can conquor the world – a cover with shoes

23rd December – The first noel… – a cover with angels

30th December –  Ho ho ho! To the bottle I go… – a cover with drink

    Definitely agree with you.😀

I would go with the second cover.

It’s a good cover and definitely fits the theme this week.

I love the cover with the frosted lips – beautiful and beguiling. And a new book from the awesome Laini Taylor:)). Many thanks for sharing.

    • @lynnsbooks

I think this book might be a little older which is maybe why it’s not as well known – it’s a lovely book though.
      Lynn 😀

Thank you for sharing – I must look it out in 2017:). Pleased to see that once more we ALL managed a different book, yay:)).

      • @lynnsbooks

      • @lynnsbooks

      • sjhigbee

        Yes, there is that…

      • @lynnsbooks

Also, meant to say – you can have my copy of the Laini Taylor book – providing you don’t mind waiting a little as I’ve not read it yet? Happy to send to you if you’re not in a hurry.
        Lynn 😀

      • sjhigbee

Agreed with your winner! On another note, this books is new to me, and here I thought I knew most of Laini Taylor’s books!

    • @lynnsbooks

I own this book but haven’t read it yet – shame on me – it’s a lovely book, three short stories with illustrations.
      Lynn 😀

I actually rather like the cover with the fruit, however the cover you’ve chose is great too and obviously fits the criteria better 😀

    • @lynnsbooks

Yeah, I love that cover – I like the cover I own too but the other one is just really eye catching.
      Lynn 😀

I absolutely love Laini Taylor’s Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy and I also love a good romance, so it’s a shock to me that I haven’t heard about this book before! If I were going to buy a print copy, I think I’d choose the one with the fruit because it coordinates with Taylor’s other book covers the best.
