Mine eyes deceive me!
No, you can’t always judge a book by it’s cover but nonetheless I do like covers and I like to give them something of a spotlight. Β On the first Friday of the new month I’m going to look at the covers for the books I’ve just read and see which was my favourite for the month.
The covers for my January reads were:
There are some fantastic covers from last months reads! Β For impact Medusa’s Web immediately stands out – it’s just dark and scary. Β I think the Guns of Ivrea and Goldenfire are really lovely, they’re so colourful and just completely grab your attention. Β Monstrous Little Voices – I love that cover, the font and the characters really appeal to me and it’s a fantastic read too! Β I think my favourite has to be Medusa’s Web – that is a book that I would definitely pick up and want to own!
Those were my January covers – if you have any particularly gorgeous covers you want to share then let me know.

My favorite is Goldenfire, but I agree, I love Medusa’s Web. Also I know that is the UK cover and I much prefer it to the US one.
I love the Goldenfire cover too – the colours are so eye catching and the use of the old pistol! It’s a really good cover.

City of Blades
I like “Under a Colder Sun”, even though it’s creepy! Or maybe exactly because it’s creepy… π
Yeah – and that’s one of the Self published books so it’s well done!

For a quick second, I thought that they were listed in your favorite order on the bottom, and was I was like, “Guns of Ivrea is last?! That one if my favorite!!!” XD
It’s a lovely cover isn’t it!

Medusa’s Web definitely stands out the most, though I can’t say its my favorite. Monstrous Little Voices is really nice. π I also like War of the Worlds. The Guns of Ivrea grows on me more each time I look at it.
The Guns of Ivrea is a really good cover. The cut out of the guy, the colour and then on closer examination the merfolk.
So good.

The cover of Guns of Ivrea made me want to read the book even before I knew anything about the story. It’s very pretty, and I didn’t even notice until the second or third time that there were figures in the water, and that they were the merfolk π
Me too – I love that cover though – it’s so striking.

I really like the covers of Monstrous Little Voices, City of Blades and the Invisible Guardian π
They’re really good aren’t they – I love the Monstrous cover and it’s also a great read (well, obviously the others are too, – but that one really sticks with me for some reason!).

I also love the cover for Monstrous Little Voices – I am really looking forward to reading it π
I can’t wait to see what you make of it – i’m practically on the edge of my seat π
