Two great events. (You’re welcome :D)

Darkness falls across the land The midnight hour is close at hand Creatures crawl in search of blood To terrorize your neighborhood And whosoever shall be found Without a book or kindle in hand Must stand and face the hounds of hell And rot inside a corpse’s shell…..
RIP (Readers Imbibing Peril) – this is the brainchild of Carl over at Stainless Steel Droppings. This year The Estella Society will be hosting the event. Details here. This is NOT a challenge – it is an event and the accent is purely on fun. Choose as many books as you want, enter a readalong, whatever. Dark fantasy, horror, mystery, thriller, chiller – it’s the right time of year to give yourself the goosebumps. And there’s lovely artwork:

Sci Fi Month 2015: November
Details here.

I am definitely rounding up some creepy/dark/scary books in preparation for October. And so happy you’re doing Sci-Fi November too, we at BiblioSanctum are very excited about it 🙂
I try to read more sci fi so this gives me an added impetus. You should definitely join the RIP event – it wouldn’t mean any additional reading because you already read dark and creepy stories – it’s just posting a link. And you don’t have to sign up to a certain number of books.
Lynn 😀
I am taking part in R.I.P again this year. I think it makes for perfect Autumn reading 🙂
I’m looking forward to it already!
Lynn 😀
Ohhhhh! Thank you so much for the news! I had such fun last year with Sci-Fi November that I’d love to repeat the experience, and R.I.P. looks more than intriguing!
**high five**
back atcha! You should definitely join the RIP as well – it’s not really any additional challenge if you join because you already probably read dark and creepy books??
Lynn 😀
I think I’m going to try sci-fi November, too! It’ll help push me out of my comfort zone and away from the urban fantasy, haha. 🙂
That’s my reasoning behind taking part – pushing the boundaries.
