Fan Art Up is a weekly feature hosted by Tabitha at Not Yet Read. Details here. Each week I see if I have a book doodle or just a random doodle to place here. This week I’ve been reading The Thousand Names by Django Wexler and Bloodshot by Cherie Priest. My, ahem, art is below (it doesn’t bear too close scrutiny because it’s drawn on a piece of scrap paper! Also – this is not supposed to depict Cheshire Red – it simply started out as a pair of bloodshot eyes and grew a bit more than I intended!

I love it when the doodles grow outside of your control. She’s pretty freaky looking and yeah those blood shot eyes – yipes.
Yes, this started as just a pair of eyes and went a bit strange shaped! Anyway, I really should just buy a sketch pad and markers and stop relying on scraps of paper that I randomly find lying around!!!

Yeah – I can see that! There’s a story in there just waiting to come out. I’m surprised that nobody has vamped Anna up yet (actually they probably have!)

That’s really cool, the way you have your drawing on top of the book in your photo, I actually thought it was part of the cover! It’s really good 🙂

Woah! You’ve got the bloodshot eyes so right. You’re like my brother, he draws on any piece of paper lying around.

Or you could always compile your ‘doodles’ 🙂
I suppose I could! They’re all stuck in my notebook at the moment. Drawn literally on pieces of paper that are maybe 3 inch squares (maximum!). Actually, in a way, it’s easier doing a doodle on a smaller piece of paper – less room for errors (in my case!)

A great way to start though. Then you could try something more challenging when you feel like it.
Hmm, great idea. Maybe one of these days I’ll try to sketch something small for fan art too.
