I first came across this meme on the Bookforager‘s blog and it seemed like fun so I decided to give it a try in 2026. The meme is hosted by Jana at Reviews from the Stacks and the theme this month is a freebie. I’ve decided to use backlist books, I’m on a mission this year to read at least twelve of my backlist books, if not more, so they’re very much on my mind. Lets take a look at some of those titles:

What a good idea to focus on backlist books! You’ve got some good ones here. I love pretty much all of Susanna Kearsley’s books, and I remember Belleweather being really special. I really enjoyed Under the Whispering Door — hope you do too!
Ooh, exciting, I shall make an extra effort to pick up Belleweather then. And the Whispering Door – I haven’t read the author yet and I remember being very excited to read it but then time just didn’t allow, etc, etc.

Good to know. unfortunately I have quite a numer of backlist books so plenty to choose from. I’ve already selected my first twelve but if I squeeze others in the more the merrier.

I do enjoy it tbh (so far anyway!). I will probably only take part this year as I’m not sure how I’ll get on finding books – like I might start repeating, maybe not. we’ll see.

You picked so many pretty covers for February and I’m quite curious about Feathertide now and I want to read Rosewater too! I loved Realm of Ash , but not as much as the first from that duology!
Hopefully I get a chance to pick those books up two – I already have 12 backlist books lined up but you never know, I might get a chance to read more.
