Today I’m returning to the Friday Face Off, originally created by Books by Proxy). I’ve missed these for the past few months and so would like to get back to comparing covers (and hopefully I will be updating this page with a new banner. This is an opportunity to look at a book of your choice and shine the spotlight on the covers. Of course this only works for those books that have alternative covers (although sometimes I use this to look at a series of books to choose a favourite). So, if you have a book that has alternative covers, highlight them and choose your favourite. If you’re taking part it would be great if you leave a comment/link so I can take a look at what you’ve chosen.
This week I’ve chosen a book that I am currently reading and hoping to review early next week, The Wolf and the Crown of Blood by Elizabeth May. There are only two covers but take a look and see what you think:
My favourite
Which is your favourite this week?

I didn’t know she had a new book! I like your pick as well, the dancing couple is a little odd to me.
Yes, I’m not fond of the couple on the cover either tbh.
Lynn 😀
The Wolf and the Crown of Blood was also my favorite of the two!
Yes, I’m not overly fond of the second cover, but also the first seems a lot more striking and the thorns and roses play into the fact that the story has a loose Beauty and the Beast theme.
Lynn 😀
I think both are lovely but overall we have the same favourite. Although I do think the second cover is going to help catch the eye of a lot of romantasy readers.
Yes, I thought so too. It makes it a little more obvious about the romance elements.
Lynn 😀
I also like the one with red vine leaves. Beautiful cover. Looking forward to your thoughts on this one.
It was a good read, maybe not the type of story I read a lot of but nice for a change.
Lynn 😀
