Friday Face Off: The Heebie Jeebies

FFO

Today I’m returning to the  Friday Face Off, originally created by Books by Proxy).  I’ve missed these for the past few months and so would like to get back to comparing covers (and hopefully I will be updating this page with a new banner.  This is an opportunity to look at a book of your choice and shine the spotlight on the covers.  Of course this only works for those books that have alternative covers (although sometimes I use this to look at a series of books to choose a favourite). So, if you have a book that has alternative covers, highlight them and choose your favourite.  If you’re taking part it would be great if you leave a link so I can take a look at what you’ve chosen.

This week I’m going in a different direction.  As part of Books, Bones and Buffy’s Summer of Horror I thought I’d post a few covers and this week I’ve gone for books that really gave me the heebies?  See what you think of the covers and if you have a favourite:

My favourite this week:

Which is your favourite?

Join me next week in highlighting one of your reads with different covers

Hello Lynn, I really like the purple on the cover for Play Nice by Rachel Harrison, although it is not the creepiest cover (you know I am a bit scared-y cat though) 😅

Ooh I just read We Used To Live Here and what a mind screw that was!! I haven’t tried any of the others yet but a fair few of them are on my TBR. Cover wise I’m torn between Forget Me Not and A Haunting In The Artic. I think the creepiest is probably Murder Road though.

Great selection and I agree, there are some creepy stories here! I love the cover of A Haunting in the Arctic, I think it’s my favorite too.

The arctic one is very unique! I think in terms of ones that creep me out the most, Hear Him Calling stands out to me

In terms of giving me the heebie jeebies, I think The Memory Wood is doing that the best for me!

So hard to choose but there is definitely something unique to A Haunting in the Arctic. Who can resist an icy cold setting? And a tallship on the cover to boot.
