Today I’m returning to the Friday Face Off, originally created by Books by Proxy). I’ve missed these for the past few months and so would like to get back to comparing covers (and hopefully I will be updating this page with a new banner. This is an opportunity to look at a book of your choice and shine the spotlight on the covers. Of course this only works for those books that have alternative covers (although sometimes I use this to look at a series of books to choose a favourite). . So, if you have a book that has alternative covers, highlight them and choose your favourite. If you’re taking part it would be great if you leave a link so I can take a look at what you’ve chosen.
This week I’ve chosen a book that I read almost two years ago. I loved The Star and the Strange Moon by Constance Sayers. Here are the covers:
My favourite this week:
It was difficult to choose and I’ve gone back and forth a bit because I actually like both covers.
Have you read this book already? What did you think and which is your favourite?
Join me next week in highlighting one of your reads with different covers.

I really enjoyed this book! I’m not sure which cover I like better.
TBH I struggled to choose a favourite too.
Lynn 😀
Not read this one, but I definitely agree with your cover pick! I like the colour palette on that one 🙂
Yeah, I like the colours too. It was a difficult choice this week.
Lynn 😀
Has it really been two years? I wish she’d write something new. My favorite is the US cover.
Actually, now I look back it wasn’t two years ago (well, technically it was 2023 so yes – but it was late 2023 and this is early 2025) – So less than a year and a half. I just must be keen for a new book – haha, no pressure then.
Lynn 😀
Tough choice! I like yours for the color, but I like the US cover for the image too.
Yep, I also like both but that purple cover won me over.
