Today I’m returning to the Friday Face Off, originally created by Books by Proxy). I’ve missed these for the past few months and so would like to get back to comparing covers (and hopefully I will be updating this page with a new banner. This is an opportunity to look at a book of your choice and shine the spotlight on the covers. Of course this only works for those books that have alternative covers (although sometimes I use this to look at a series of books to choose a favourite). . So, if you have a book that has alternative covers, highlight them and choose your favourite. If you’re taking part it would be great if you leave a link so I can take a look at what you’ve chosen.
This week I’ve chosen a book that is on my shelf waiting to be read Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales by Heather Fawcett, I can’t wait to read this, this series is just fantastic. Only two covers, take a look:
My favourite this week:
It’s so difficult to choose. I can’t do it – I love both themes for these books. They’ve been so consistently good.
Have you read this book already? What did you think and which is your favourite?
Join me next week in highlighting one of your reads with different covers.

I can’t choose either, are both so beautiful! One is more academic looking, sort of, the other is light and airy! And both are good for the series!
Yes, I do tend to veer towards the darker covers and that would probably have been by natural sway with this but I really do like both sets of covers for this, they’re so well done.
Lynn 😀
I can’t pick either! Both are so pretty but in different ways. I can’t wait to read it😁
I know, me too.
Lynn 😀
I prefer the US cover this time! For the previous two books I liked the UK edition, but the pink this time is a bit too much!
Haha, yes, this is very pink. On balance I really like the darker versions but I appreciate the other set and they do look good together.
Lynn 😀
I agree both are stunning but I think I prefer the pink cover on the whole. I can’t wait to check the actual story out too as I adored the first two novels. Hopefully it’ll be worth the wait for both of us.
