Books read this week:
This hasn’t been a bad week. I’ve read two of my books and also posted three reviews, plus I’ve started some blog hopping which i’ll hopefully catch up with this week. We are definitely still adjusting to our language lessons, we’re out now two nights in the week, plus travel time and this is definitely having an impact on everything because there’s also a constant stream of homework – I feel like a teenager! I’m enjoying the challenge though although I would point out that I’m not a natural when it comes to picking up different languages, I really have to work hard at it. This week I read You All Die Tonight by Simon Kernick and also Ink Ribbon Red by Alex Pavesi. As planned last week I also started Fury of the Gods by John Gwynne.
Next Week’s Reads:
This week I’m hoping to continue with The Fury of the Gods. I have three November books to pick up which are:
Reviews Posted:
- The Book of Witching by CJ Cooke
- Hear Him Calling by Carly Reagon
- The Bog Wife by Kay Chronister
Outstanding Reviews
- The September House by Carissa Orlando
- Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
- Run by Blake Crouch
- You All Die Tonight by Simon Kernick
- Ink Ribbon Red by Alex Pavesi
That’s it for me this week, what have you been up to, any good books to shout out about. Let me know.

I think you’re doing great considering the time your lessons take up. I pushed and posted three reviews last week but I may only get one up this week. I’m so curious about The Last Hour Between Worlds😁
Hopefully I’ll be starting that one very soon.
Lynn 😀
All three of your next week’s reads look so good!
So far so good.
Lynn 😀
Excellent!! 😀
I also have The Courting of Bristol Keats and The Last Hour Between Worlds on my November reading list! I need to do better about both my reading and blog hopping schedules – I feel like I’ve been so absent lately!
I feel what you’re saying. I’ve been so busy that things have slid a little.
Lynn 😀
I’m terrible when it comes to languages, some people have a knack for picking them up but I do not, lol. Duolingo is the most I can handle! I am also struggling with catching up with book reviews, I think at this time I am *only* seven books behind, haha.
Unfortunately I’m also not one of those people with the ‘knack’ but I’m working at it so hopefully something will sink in.
Lynn 😀
Hi Lynn, I wish you all the best with your language lessons! 😊 I have just finished reading the historical-fiction, The King’s Messenger by Susanna Kearsley, which was an excellent yarn, couldn’t put it down!
Blessings, Jessica 💌
Thanks Jessica. I won’t deny that it’s hard work but I like a challenge.
