I’m trying to post a wrap up for the end of each month, mainly to help me to keep track of my reading and at the same time look at what I’m intending to read during the month ahead (inspired by Books Bones and Buffy’s What’s on My Plate.
So, I managed to stay on track for September with just a little spill over. I had a busy month outside of reading, we had visitors for a few days which was lovely and we also managed to squeeze in some decorating which kind of took over for a few days with all the ensuing chaos. I’m currently reading and enjoying Once A Monster by Robert Dinsdale and when that book is complete I will have read all my September books so I’m pleased with that. I just need to write up a few reviews which I’m aiming to do this week. I also need to pick up my remaining SPFBO books (those chosen by the Critiquing Chemist – not yet announced so I can’t share the titles at this point but I’m excited to get to these). I also posted seven reviews for my SPFBO batch which was a very intense week followed by my Semi Finalist announcement.
Here’s my month in covers:
During October I have a nice line up planned:
The Pale House Devil by Richard Kadrey

Edenville by Sam Rebelein

The Waking of Angantyr by Marie Brennan

A Haunting in the Arctic by CJ Cooke

Red River Seven by AJ Ryan

Starling House by Alix E Harrow

The Reformatory by Tananarive Due

I’m glad I inspired you😉 It really helps me to organize my reading each month. I love that you have such a controlled pile this month. Maybe you can give me some tips? Lol. I’m hoping to finish Starling House today, it’s so different than I was expecting but I love it. And I need a UK copy of Edenville, that cover is fantastic.
Haha, well, I don’t think I can really hand out tips – mostly, my controlled tbr is as a result of massive guilt over how shockingly bad my reading was earlier this year.
Looking forward to Starling House.
Lynn 😀
I’m jealous of the book you get in the UK first, definitely have my eye on The Waking of Angantyr (which is the first I’m even hearing of it) and A Haunting in the Arctic (which is coming to the US soon!)
I’m looking forward to the Brennan very much and tbh I hadn’t heard much about it before now.
Lynn 😀
All interesting covers, at least. I hope you enjoy your month.
Thanks, well, tbh, my October reading isn’t the best so far – but I have some great books to look forward to yet so fingers crossed. Hope you’re having a great month.
Lynn 😀
A Haunting in the Arctic sounds good, and I’m looking forward to your thoughts on Starling House as that’s one I definitely want to read too.
Looks like a great spooky line up for this month, hope you enjoy 😀
Thanks, I’m looking forward very much to both those titles.
Lynn 😀
That a lot of interesting books.
Have a great November reading month.
