Booking Ahead/Weekly Wrap Up

Sunday Post

I’m trying to get back into the habit of doing a round-up of the week just completed and also take a look at my plans for the forthcoming week.  I rather got out of the habit of doing so but I would like to reinstate this type of post as I feel it keeps me on track.  So, I’m linking up to The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s  Caffeinated Reviewer.  Without further ado:

Books read this week:

This week has been very busy socially so not as much reading as I’d have liked.  But I’m reading and enjoying Talonsister by Jen Williams, about 60% into the story now and hoping to complete in a couple of days.  I’ve caught up with another couple of reviews and in fact i only have two outstanding reviews now -which  is a definite woohoo moment.  I’ve also posted my second SPFBO cuts post – not my most favourite part of the competition but it has to be done. I have one more such post and then the remaining books from my batch are my potential Semi Finalist hopefuls.  In other news our rescue dog is doing really well.  It’s been about five weeks now and she’s starting to enjoy contact with us all now, plus she’s very soon settled into a routine.  And she adores our other dog Bones so it’s a big relief.

Congrats on almost being caught up with reviews! And I’m glad your new pup is settling in. My husband and I adopted a puppy on Saturday and to say it’s chaos over here is an understatement, lol. I’m looking forward to the “routine” part of the deal😁

Yes puppy = chaos. Noodle is a little older – it’s only a guess but we’re thinking maybe 12 months so we don’t need to ‘house train her’. She wasn’t used to being on a lead but she loves walks so is coming round to that, and she’s a chewer so we just put as much as we can away. She likes to shred cushions and tools. Good luck with your new little monster – I do love dogs, I just don’t think I could be without one.

Go you! After returning from my trip and having read up a storm in the last couple weeks, I have about…11 outstanding reviews to write, lol. I need to take a page from you and get on that.

It’s so daunting, I literally had about 11/12 reviews. And, I prefer to write my reviews while I still have the emotional impact. I have two more and then I’m nearly back on track. Now I just need to keep a couple of light months and backtrack with some of my review books.
