Today I’m returning to the Friday Face Off, originally created by Books by Proxy). I’ve missed these for the past few months and so would like to get back to comparing covers (and hopefully I will be updating this page with a new banner. This is an opportunity to look at a book of your choice and shine the spotlight on the covers. Of course this only works for those books that have alternative covers (although sometimes I use this to look at a series of books to choose a favourite). . My book this week is a fairly recent book by an author that I’m loving. A House with Good Bones by T Kingfisher. Here are the covers:

This cover appeals to me. I mean, I totally see where the inspiration for the other came from given the story but this cover would absolutely without doubt make me pick this book up off the shelf.

Books and travelling with Lynn 
Loved the book, but as I’ve stated before, I’ve yet to read anything by her that I’ve not liked. The one I read had the second cover. I like both covers, as each features elements that are in the story.
They’re both good but I love the green cover – perhaps because it’s the one I’m most familiarwith.

I like both, but I also choose the one you did, which is the cover I’m more familiar with. I just think there’s more personality!
