Sunday Post

I’m trying to get back into the habit of doing a round-up of the week just completed and also take a look at my plans for the forthcoming week.  I rather got out of the habit of doing this but I would like to reinstate this type of post as I feel it keeps me on track.  So, I’m linking up to The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s  Caffeinated Reviewer.  Without further ado:

Books read this week:

So it’s official.  Monday is the new Sunday.  Okay, late again.  A busy week.  I think my problem this week is trying to read too many books at once on top of all the normal ‘life’ events.  I’m about 20% into my listen of Babel by RF Kuang, I’m enjoying this one but will say it’s not going to be a book that you’ll race through.  I started Ithaca but have left that to one side for now as I don’t think it was grabbing me which could just be a mood thing.  I’ve carried on with All of Our Demise by Christine Herman and Amanda Foody which is reading well so far.  I also picked up Phil William’s latest book, The Dyer Street Punk Witches which I think is my favourite of his books so far – review to follow very soon.  On a SPFBO note I will be posting three posts during the remainder of the month which will detail which books are rolling forward from the three batches I’ve picked up and also which books will be cut.  Watch this space.

Next Week’s Reads:

Well, I need to complete some of my reads but I’d also like to read through the books that I’ve chosen to roll forward for SPFBO and of course I have review books (what’s a girl to do).  Some maybe other reads:

I’m reading three books at once and it’s not working for me, lol. I need to focus on one at a time. A Dowry of Blood was very good😁

Look forward to your thoughts on A Dowry of Blood, that’s a new one to me.
I’ve had spells of reading more than one book too but taking longer to get anything finished made me feel like I was reading even slower than usual so I’m trying to stick to one book at a time again now.

With a title like “A Dowry of Blood” my curiosity just went up a few notches! 🙂
