Top Ten Tuesday : Halloween

ttt

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme where every Tuesday we look at a particular topic for discussion and use various (or more to the point ten) bookish examples to demonstrate that particular topic.  Top Ten Tuesday (created and hosted by  The Broke and Bookish) is now being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and future week’s topics can be found here.  This week’s topic :

Halloween Freebie

With the exception of one of my chosen topics (the adaptation – which I loved btw and highly recommend) all the books below have been fairly recent reads that have been read during the last 12/13 months.  I was going to go all old-school horror but decided I’d like to use this topic to look at some more recent reads that I’ve enjoyed and are perfect for this time of the year.

I want to read so many of these.. Especially The Final Girl Support Group and In the Garden of Spite!
    Great post!

I see a few here that I still really want to read, especially The Shape of Darkness. Definitely agree about the Doctor Sleep adaptation. I’ve actually been thinking I’d like a rewatch of that movie soon, and that will probably lead to wanting to read the book again too 😀

I absolutely loved that adaptation – as did all my family. I will definitely watch it again.

Wow, great list! I see so many of my own favorites on here. I get giddy just seeing the covers for The Phlebotomist and Come With Me!

Such great books – I can’t wait for more from both authors in fact I went back and bought an earlier Malfi book on the strength of come with me.

Fabulous list of books. A few of my favorites of the year on here!

    • @lynnsbooks

Yep – it’s going to be difficult to choose favourites this year.

I love how you’ve categorized these! The gothic one for Laura Purcell is what I’m most interested in (because I do love that genre), though I’ll add Dr. Sleep to my watchlist too. Thanks Lynn!

    • @lynnsbooks

Dr Sleep is just brilliant imo.
Laura Purcell is absolutely a must read author if you love gothic. The Silent Companions is excellent. I can’t recommend her enough.
      Lynn 😀
