The 1st of June marked the start of the sixth Self Published Fantasy Blog Off (details here.) My Introductory post is here. This year I’m aiming to shine a little bit of focus on some of the books either through posting excerpts to act as teasers for potential readers or through posting some of the covers and highlighting the book that way (not just for my own books but other entries). The invitation is open to all authors from the competition – if you’d like to post an excerpt then give me a shout in the comments (also, if you’ve contacted me recently and I’ve not responded please give me a(nother) shout, I’ve noticed recently that a lot of my comments have gone straight to Spam or Pending so I may have overlooked something.
As part of the competition there is a cover contest. The details can be found here.
So, this week’s chosen SPFBO covers are all about the women. Check these out and see if you have a favourite:

I love cover contests or face offs. These are all great but I especially like Rivers Run Red.
Yes, that is such an eye catching cover. I really like it.
Lynn 😀
These are all great, and what strikes me is that they could almost be books in the same series, with such similar design elements!
Yes, I hadn’t picked up on that but now you mention it the placing of the titles and font does make them feel a little like a series.
Lynn 😀
I like The Clay Queen the best! Gorgeous!
It is a gorgeous cover – I would definitely pick it up (how fickle am I?)
Lynn 😀
My favorite is the one for Heaven Sent: very dynamic – and I love the color combination 🙂
Yes, it’s a great colour combination and very dramatic.
Lynn 😀
I like The Clay Queen cover the best! something about a starry sky superimposed on someone’s face, I’m always drawn to that. Is that a clock-face motif I’m seeing too? that makes me think there will be some kind of “race against time” happening in the story.
It is a good cover and you’re right about the starry sky – it’s very effective.
Lynn 😀
I kind of like all of these covers, but especially The Clay Queen, I think I just really love the color.
It’s a gorgeous colour isn’t it – it feels like you could sink into it somehow.
Lynn 😀
These are all good! I really like The Clay Queen and Heaven Sent.
Yeah, the Clay Queen is really good.
Lynn 😀
