Can’t Wait Wednesday : The Ghost Tree by Christina Henry
“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme that was originally created by Breaking the Spine. Unfortunately Breaking the Spine are no longer hosting so I’m now linking my posts up to Wishful Endings Can’t Wait Wednesday. Don’t forget to stop over, link up and check out what books everyone else is waiting for. If you want to take part, basically, every Wednesday, we highlight a book that we’re really looking forward to. This week my book is : The Ghost Tree by Christina Henry:
When people go missing in the sleepy town of Smith’s Hollow, the only clue to their fate comes when a teenager starts having terrifying visions, in a chilling horror novel from national bestselling author Christina Henry.
When the bodies of two girls are found torn apart in the town of Smiths Hollow, Lauren is surprised, but she also expects that the police won’t find the killer. After all, the year before her father’s body was found with his heart missing, and since then everyone has moved on. Even her best friend, Miranda, has become more interested in boys than in spending time at the old ghost tree, the way they used to when they were kids.
So when Lauren has a vision of a monster dragging the remains of the girls through the woods, she knows she can’t just do nothing. Not like the rest of her town. But as she draws closer to answers, she realizes that the foundation of her seemingly normal town might be rotten at the center. And that if nobody else stands for the missing, she will.
Expected publication : October2020
This one sounds like it could be so much fun – if I wasn’t such a wuss! I hope you enjoy this Lynn:))
Haha, yes, I hope it’s super scary.
Lynn 😀
From fairy-tale retellings to what promises to be a very dark story… But with this author I’m sure it will be a page-turner nonetheless… 🙂
I hope so.
Lynn 😀
I’m so excited for this one. I loved Lost Boys and have bought about everything else from this author but I really should try reading some of them. This one sounds great!
I love the sound of it too
Lynn 😀
Yes! I can’t wait for this one either!
It does rather good and I still have to read this author (even though I’ve bought a couple of her books already).
Lynn 😀
I keep wanting to read one of her books and still haven’t gotten around to it yet. Hope you enjoy this one, Lynn!
I still haven’t read her either although I know I already own a couple of her books.
