Another SPFBO competition concludes, on a wonderful high note I think.  This is going to be a quick post to highlight the finalists and the results.  Feast your eyes on the 10 finalists:

And, *drum roll* here are the finalists in order with their average scores and links to Goodreads:

I would like to congratulate ML wang for such a fantastic final score.  There were some incredible books submitted this year and so this is a truly impressive achievement.  I heartily recommend you take a look at the finalists – there’s something here for everyone and I’ve had a great time reading them.  My thanks to all the authors who submitted their books – there wouldn’t be a competition without you and, commiserations, there can be only one winner after all, but I hope everyone took something more away from the competition in terms of friendships made.  Finally a massive thank you to Mark Lawrence for organising the competition and all the other judges for making it possible, not to mention creating a nail biting finale.

Will there be a SPFBO 6? I think so, but keep your eyes on Mark Lawrence’s blog for further news on that front.

Congrats to all the finalists and especially to ML Wang! I think it’s really cool that in past SPFBOs we’ve seen even authors who don’t get the top score go on to have massive success or book contracts, so I hope that’s what will happen here too! And also great job to you for completing another year of judging, way to go!

Yay. It’s always mixed feelings for me at the end of SPFBO. A bit of a breather and great to see the overall scores but kind of sad that it’s over.

Wow! Such an impressive group! ❤
You kind of blow my mind being an SPFBO judge – it seems such a mammoth task, albeit, I'm sure, incredibly rewarding. My hat is permanently off to you, Lynn! 😀

Aww, thank you. It’s a great competition and this year had some incredible entries.

Congrats to all the finalists! I personally have copies of The Sword of Kaigen and Never Die, which I hope to read soon. And for those who aren’t in the top spot, get ready because you will most likely have lots of attention as well. I hope you get to participate in #6, looking forward to it:-)

Thanks Tammy. Hope you enjoy your reads – I also highly recommend Blood of Heirs and Fortune’s Fool which were in the top three. Both were really good.

Congratulations on finishing up another SPFBO, Lynn! I’ve loved seeing your reviews for these. I think I’ll have to pick up a copy of The Sword of Kaigen at some point since so many people liked that one.

I hope you enjoy it. I also highly recommend Fortune’s Fool.

Definitely going to read that one as well, from everything I’ve heard it would probably be right up my alley. 🙂
