My week has been very positive. Lots of keeping in touch with everyone and actually a very good reading week too. I have a few reviews lined up although it actually never looks or feels as though I’m really catching up. Two steps forward, three steps back. LOL. But, I’m not stressed – I’ve got so many good books coming up on my schedule that I’m positively delirious with joy. So, this is what I’ve been reading this week (as well as making some progress with my SPFBO books):
My books:
- Storm Cursed by Patricia Briggs
- Turning Darkness Into Light by Marie Brennan
- Missing Person by Sarah Lotz
Next scheduled reads:
- The House of Sacrifice by Anna Smith Spark
- Brightfall Jaime Lee Moyer
- The Dragon Republic by RF Kuang
Upcoming reviews
- King of the Road by RS Belcher
- Queenslayer by Sebastien DeCastell
- A Little Hatred by Joe Abercrombie
- Cry Havoc by Mike Morris
- Storm Cursed by Patricia Briggs
- Turning Darkness Into Light by Marie Brennan
- Missing Person by Sarah Lotz
I’d love to know what you’re reading this week.
I wanted to request Missing Person so badly, but I just had too many review books this month. Looking forward to your review!
It was very good. On balance I would probably say I liked the White Road more – but they’re different types of books so probably unfair to compare them really. It was a very intriguing read.
Lynn 😀
Finished Turning Darkness into Light tonight. It was different, but good!
Yeah, i really liked it, the style of storytelling is something that really works well for me and it almost reminded me of a classic with the style of writing – but a bit more easy to read.
Lynn 😀
I’ve also got The Dragon Republic on my TBR. Looking forward to your review!
I’m looking forward to starting it.
Lynn 😀
I love the cover of Turning Darkness Into Light. I’m anxious for your review on that one.
I thought it was really good – and yes, that cover is just gorgeous.
Lynn 😀
Lynn, I didn’t finish any books last week, but I did read a lot of Queen of the North by Anne O’Brien and Searching for Sunday by Rachel Held Evans; and in fact I finished Queen of the North earlier today. I hope you’re enjoying your reading this week! 🙂
Can’t wait for your review for that one.
Lynn 😀
Glad your previous week was a good one! I’m really looking forward to your thoughts on Brightfall, that looks like a good one.
It was a lot different to what I expected.
Lynn 😀
